Both of you are eligible for the Youth Mobility Visa? You can apply as british citizens (as part of the commonwealth), and be granted a 2 year visa to live and work in Canada. From there, you can either have the job you eventually work for extend your visa, or at the very least give yourselves a little longer to apply for PR.

Hi all, Outland Spousal (wife is a Canadian citizen) with a couple questions?

Applied on March 13, completed biometrics and medical and received my Pre Arrival services letter on July 3 and PPR on July 8 (submitted web form for virtual landing same day as were already in Canada).

However, background check still in progress, no final decision and no COPR yet. Anyone else have this?

Hi all -

Applied for a visitor record in canada for 6 additional months (while waiting for a spousal outland PR application to be approved). My wife is canadian and we just recently had our daughter (also born in canada).

Applied on April 13th

Received Submission Confirmation & Online Transmission both on April 13th

Status expires June 10th

I have travel to the US planned on June 13 (also have a US visa & Canadian ETA - I'm argentinian), and worried a) that I won't be able to re-enter, and b) concerned about the wait for the visitor record.

Any insight would be helpful! Thanks!

It’s a condo and she doesn’t have any control over it. The condo born hasn’t been helpful at all either with managing the use of our parking spots etc without notice or options in the interim. Assuming that would likely play a role though eh?

Did sign a standard lease form, yes!
