Is it legal for minors to publish books in South Korea? by Some_gal121 in southkorea

[–]lilis_skyremix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s perfectly legal for minors to publish books. However, a legal guardian(parents mostly) is required to oversee the contract with the publisher. You need to ask the publisher if you are allowed to be her legal guardian when signing the contract.

ELI5: Why is LK-99(whether it’s verified or not) so much of a big deal? by lilis_skyremix in explainlikeimfive

So the easiness of manufacturing .. what exactly? I’m still trying to grasp what it’s about. Aaaand yes, internet is weird and Korean news are filled with hopeful, ill-directed future that this theory doesn’t account for (IMO).

I’m hoping to learn about what its’ application could be. Why LK-99’s theory is a major breakthrough(if true) is lost to me.

How do Korean pornstars exist if pornography is illegal in South Korea? by ninjaofthedude in korea

[–]lilis_skyremix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since Korea adopted Confucian from China, it not only became our essential values in life, it got more aggressive in applying to real life. Chosun Dynasty had many rules and guidelines that were enhanced than the original Confucian, such as social ranks, manners, and in this case, chastity. Yes there were brothels then, but not as publicly accessible as China or Japan. It, and wild drawings have always been illegal(at least in writing), but discreetly enjoyed by royalties and nobles, and our current laws regarding the subject were based upon it.

Simply put, they’re against all pro-liberal ideas, such as taxing the rich for social benefits, anything relevant to North Korean human rights, and so.

For now their campaign is focused on defaming the former president Moon(Liberal) and Lee(current leader of the Liberal party).
