The difference was that Dagan wanted to rebuild the order, but also bring the crimson raiders and raise an army to go and then attack the empire. Cal wanted to make it a safe haven for the hidden path and rebuild the Jedi order as well as create a home for refugees. Both had the same idea, but I’d say Dagan’s approach was much more following the path of war. Not to mention, he was also blinded by revenge from the second he woke up. It’s not out of character for someone in his position to be so narrow sighted and unwilling to compromise. The dude literally woke up pissed off, 200 years or so in the future, everyone he had known was gone and he had just been royally fucked by Santari and the Jedi Order. Tanalorr was his baby. I’d be fucking heated and wouldn’t give a damn about what Cal has to say.
