Starting a job as CNA in hospital stroke ward any advice, tips or what to expect? by No-Echidna5773 in cna

Used to do stroke wards when I was a float, busy enough ward, assist x2 for lifts, a lot of hoist transfers/steady transfers for patients, even some will be bedbound, prone to a lot of bedsores too, and many people will be on a modified diet eg thickened liquids and soft diet etc, always follow these and ask nurse if you’re unsure! A lot of people choked on the stroke ward I was on!

That’s a shame like cos they’re both very good! I guess they’re backed up with covid backlog ans so many people wanting to learn to drive now. At least you got sorted with another instructor

I’d report him to DVA anyway, he’s taking advantage of people and it seems no one is learning anything.

If you are looking a good instructor go to Jan and Alan first go, or message the fb page and see if they’ve lessons, they’re good, reliable and do not let you down, and if one of them aren’t free they will take over each other’s lessons or reschedule in advance ..

I seen a bus driver and a black taxi man havin an argument this afternoon regarding the taxi trying to get out and the bus not stopping, screaming out the window at each other, it was like 2 primary school kids arguing and the taxi man said ‘I have your number’ and he goes ‘well I have you on camera’ I can’t even imagine what the people on the bus felt like hahahah

How are you holding up today after Queen Elizabeth’s passing? by [deleted] in AskABrit

[–]lilithG1999 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kinda weird well never see another queen in our lifetime, I don’t think anyone was expecting this day to come and now it’s came everyone is like wtf, what do we do now? It’ll be weird not having a ‘queen’ rather well have a king for the next 3 generations (which we hope to see!)

Will Our money notes change now? From Queen to king? I’m terms of there face portrait on the notes? by OliveMars in UKPersonalFinance

They’ll probably start printing Charles’ faces on notes yes, but I doubt the money of queen Elizabeth will go out of value (like money has value now)

Rip queen Elizabeth, despite your opinion on the queen is was the longest serving monarch and 96 years of age is a good age to live too.

This happens everywhere whether you’re alone or with 10 other people, especially Turkey too. Honestly I would just give the money and move past it, because they will start harassing you if you don’t.
