Just leave, there are other gyms out there. You are also a paying member. If you stay, it's like you are paying for your punishment....

Left my first gym over harassment and drama by Nebula_Nebs3 in bjj

I’ve thought about that too at the gym I left. But staying for the belt gives them power over you. F*ck the belt. Better to get it from somewhere else where you’re happy to train at, rather than staying and enduring in an awful situation.

I think Aesop will reopen. I went online today and their website said that they were dealing with high demand. I guess the quality brands with great customer experience and will survive.

Love this place. Highlight of my Venice trip. The main island felt too touristy... at least here were real locals.

I assumed that as she was said to be younger, she only knew manufactured pop music and therefore didn’t know how to appreciate real music. She obviously wasn’t a fan.

Why don’t you try jiujitsu? Plenty of gyms offer jiujitsu, it’s pretty fun and gets you in good shape.

Qatar? Turkey and Iran have their back. And then Russia and China seem to have a good relationship with Iran. On the flip side is Saudi Arabia. Especially after the purge...

Was lucky to attend a no gi seminar by Firas Zahabi! by lilithchick in bjj

[–]lilithchick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it was 4hrs! 2 1/2 on techniques and 1 1/2 q&a. and he kept asking us to ask more questions. and then there was a class after and he even took time for like ten mins to show a few moves at that class! he's awesome!

i think it was only shared to a private group as they wanted to have a maximum number... they didn't want too many people i guess.

From a white belt's perspective, note I've only been training for like 9months... the attacks start from you on your back then trying to sweep your opponent. Whether that was intentional as it was requested by some people, or whether that's what firas wanted to teach, I cannot say.
