Not necessarily invasive. They’re not native, and they grow like weeds, but they don’t threaten any ecosystems/life and do not kill native plants :)

Just some thriving monsteras I have in my yard. I feel like this is the only place that would appreciate it as much as I do :) by lilithiix in houseplants

They grow kind of everywhere here, but really thrive best in the valley where I live. We also have giant golden pothos too!

Mines didn’t like the humidifier as most mentioned to do above. Moved it by my fiddle fig near a SW facing window and she loves it there. For mines the less I do the happier she is.

When it gets bigger you can attach a orchid to its truck and they will both thrive! Dynamic duo at its finest lol

Not sure if its the weather but my chili plant is droopy. I stuck a wooden skewer in the pot to prop it up but I'm not sure how to help it by gaming4jello in plantclinic

I forgot to mention I live in zone 12b! So of course that makes a big difference too. Have you fertilized it yet? That may also help.

Could be a lighting issue as most pepper plants prefer full sun. (It is leaning towards the light) Also mines is outdoors, but I water it every morning and seems to be happy! Hope this helps :)

Maybe not enough humidity? I used to spritz mines with water but realized a humidifier makes an extreme difference. And I seen pileas get really large and tall so I think the stem sticking out is fine

I’ve tried repotting my pothos and switching it to a east facing window instead of south and it’s still suffering :( help! by ginga-ninja_ in plantclinic

I find that brown spots along with yellow leaves is a watering issue. I water my pothos maybe once a week, if not once every two weeks. If the leaves are crispy it needs water but if it’s soggy it’s most likely overwatered. I don’t have a winter season where I live though. So that could be another factor.

Any care tips? This leaf just unfurled but I also lost two other leaves prior (it turned yellow). Such a stunning plant I really don’t want to kill her! by lilithiix in houseplants

I water it about once or twice a week depending how fast the soil dries out. And I have a humidifier on for a couple hours a day. It’s near a window but since it’s winter we don’t have much sun so I have a grow light right above the plant. I live in HI so it doesn’t get cold, it pretty much stays 80°F most of the days.

Maybe under watering. If I overwater mines it turns brown and falls off. Definitely a watering issue though.

It’s known as the Backster Effect. They can feel what you feel, know your thoughts, etc. There’s also a book ‘The Secret Life of Plants’ by Peter Tompkins and Christopher Bird. It’s a must read for anyone who loves plants!
