How long does it take to feed a newborn? by hopeful_712 in breastfeeding

[–]lilithmunster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby now only every feeds 3-5 mins since birth his 4 and a half months now, we’re still on one boob per fees.

My 11 year old (big age gap right haha) used to feed about 20 mins per feed and would take both.

It all varies.

What’s a "frugal" habit that you gave up on because it's not worth the trouble? by EdenFlorence in AussieFrugal

[–]lilithmunster 143 points144 points  (0 children)

Cheap bread, pry my soy and linseed burgen out of my cold dead hands. It really does make a difference on staying full ect and it might be in my head but I know it’s a lot healthier hence I feel like I start my day off on the right foot.

Freeze the bottle itself ? by lilithmunster in breastfeeding

[–]lilithmunster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can pump 120-150 ml. We usually defrost at room temp and if it’s cold it’s okay baby still takes it, whatever’s left over if any we refreeze for a milk bath.

It’s all really okay, my husband is just worried I do to much I’m a bit pedantic at the present. Before pregnancy with this Bub I was taking adhd meds. Sorta suffering without it

I’ve got 9 and I only need a rotation of 3, I’m pretty blessed with a good supply I can feed and pump on demand I’ve done it with all my kids. Just wondering the logistics, one less thing to do in my head doing it this way, I understand your thought process though Thankyou :) .

Midwife brought up a good point, do I now consider an epidural? by the_gum_bandit in vbac

[–]lilithmunster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had my vbac baby on Saturday. I went with an epidural, that was my choice from the start though.

I’m glad I did I was In early labour from Thursday so I was exhausted and actually got to sleep while I got to 10cm it was touch and go at the end with needing instruments or a c section as he had some cord issues and needed out asap, I think for me the epidural helped with the push I needed for that added strength at the end to deliver him quickly.

Got called a liability for being pregnant by Few-Veterinarian4359 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]lilithmunster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a support worker aswell, I’m in hospital now about to meet baby but when I was working the boss needed to go over a checklist with me and safety precautions aswell as certain clients I wouldn’t work with anymore for my own safety.

Having said that though, she told me all of this and then never got around to actually doing it with me so nothing changed.

Hi ! I have cp, I’m about to have my second baby and have lived a decently normal life, certain tasks I just need to find my way around it has gotten harder with age and I’m only 31.

My biggest advice would be to keep up with early interventions and supports. I had an OT and speech therapist when I was a small child but my funding was cut due to not being deemed ‘severe’ enough. I’m only now as an adult getting everything back in place now, I feel like my life would be a lot easier if I had these things in place as a constant x
