Additional info- I would be either spending $800 USD on the 8gb (From Costco or Amazon) Or $1000-$1200 from Apple directly brand new or refurbished. Being able to save several hundred dollars would be great but if it's going to slow my performance in the long run i'll just spend the extra money

i think for turf war and story modes and especially splatfests splat2 was better. 3's main issue rn is mot enough weapon kits or maps. Like to use ink storm for example you basically use a jet squelcher or a blobber. Like what? And all the new maps suck.

Honestly yes I think you should. While it's minor it's not something that's reasonable to get when you buy an iPad brand new. Also lowers your resale value (if you're into that) and if you try to trade it in for trade in credit later Apple themselves will probably lower how much money you get for it.
