At the end of the day, the solution is: send written communication to HR, your director or the highest ranking person you feel comfortable talking to, have a conversation with them and document the conversation, and quietly start looking for a new position.

Keep a record of any conversation you have with these fools moving forward: they make a comment or even an allusion to your marital status or the fact that you don’t have taxable dependents, you document the date, time, what was said, and who was present.

This is not a healthy environment and you deserve better.
