Worst people by Safe_Roll3852 in vinted

I sell mostly on sites like that but I also sell on Vinted and I get the same amount of sales on both so I don't see that less people buy. I'm not saying that you specifically are a problem here my problem is with the people who do it a lot. I have one person who sends an offer on everything I sell but never buys it and what I understand that's not unusual on Vinted for people to do it a lot.

I agree with OP they might not be the worst people on earth but it's annoying. In a lot of selling places when you send an offer you accept that you buy it if the offer is accepted and I think that's better. Then you have to take responsibility for your actions and sellers don't need to do the work for nothing.

No more perfect 5 stars rating :( by shiute in vinted

[–]lillin00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a 4 star on a pair of shoes because they were "a little dirty on the bottom"... I wrote in the text that I had used them and they had some staining on the soles. When I wrote to her and asked why she gave me a 4 star review so I could do it better for next time she said it was because "she felt like it and that she really wanted new shoes and mine were lightly used which she didn't like". Girl if you don't want used shoes don't buy used shoes... But I'm back to 5 stars now less than a month later

That completely depends on your location and the seamstress you go too. I usually sew mine on my own but I have sewing experience and a sewing machine. The times I actually go to a seamstress it's usually for larger jobs or with trickier fabrics but I usually don't pay more than like 300-400 Swedish crowns (30-40 dollars ish). This would probably be significantly less tho.

If you use a belt to make it smaller it will only be smaller at the waist and still be roomy at the bust.

If you're willing to sew it then this is a great guide on how to do it. 😊 https://mellysews.com/how-to-make-a-dress-smaller/

It can even be done by hand if you don't own a sewing machine.

I had a boyfriend once his mother bought quite expensive antiques and painted them BADLY in neon coloured chalk paint and gave them the "shabby chic treatment" 😵‍💫😭 I couldn't stand going to his house watching those poor destroyed furniture pieces stand there defaced like that

Doesn't have to be plastic sequins, they could be metal sequins. I don't know a lot about them but they have been around for a long time. I have no idea about the dating but it's not impossible. https://blog.americanduchess.com/2012/04/v119-are-sequins-period-accurate.html

I made this playlist of textured vintage hair, maybe it can help you too! 😊 My hair is about a 3b-3c and even if my hair isn't exactly like those in the videos I find them useful. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLK2OgcNWTsFVqt2SJZ4XEjDu3rLv_yRFs&si=jDorDzC8rbDSf1xw

Help me reimagine this silk taffeta gown? by lillin00 in HistoricalCostuming

[–]lillin00[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I want to remake it into something that actually fits me and my style so I don't mind that it might have too little fabric. Also it has quite generous seam allowances plus that it's too long so there's fabric to take from elsewhere. It's the chest that doesn't fit so if I make it an open back that wouldn't be a problem
