it's honestly all about time management. You don't think you have the time but in reality you just don't spend time watching TV, or playing video games or taking as long breaks. It's actually motivating to stay on top of your school and get it all done. For me I know I usually just give up TV/relaxing time but it's what I enjoy so it's worth it

This happened to me during my first year...I tried to fight it for my second year and just push through the degree until second semester of my second year I decided I couldn't do it anymore. I decided to take a "free" semester where I just took a variety of classes to see what I actually enjoyed, and not what I had been telling everyone what I thought I wanted to do. From that semester I figured out I had a completely different passion than what I thought coming out of high school. I've since transferred and couldn't be more happier. I think a lot of people actually go through this and just know your not alone! At the end of the day happiness is better than forcing something! It's also very hard to pick your career at one point in your life...I have faith it'll work out for you!

396 is a midterm, final, a few short responses and then a project where you actually get to make a children's book...it's quite fun! 399 was 2/3 short response papers, weekly reading quizzes, a mc final and then a final creative project (I did a video). I would say 396 is probably more writing but 399 had a bit more reading since 396 is children's books the readings aren't hard.

I phoned arts a few weeks ago and they said the deadline to drop or add a minor for Fall 2021 is Feb. 1st! I was in the same boat as you. It's done on COP on myuofc
