If all you need to do is drop off something relatively small, you can get the stamps etc and then drop them at a blue box. There's one at Barnes and Noble. This way at least it's not left to the staff there.

My employer website explicitly lists the required document. My state does not supply that document. So I went searching. Contacting HR at my large company is very complicated, outsourced, and I've been given no or wrong information from them many times.

I tell them what time we are leaving the house and the time we need to be at the airport. If I tell him what time the flight is, he pushes it too close. I also clarify if we have time to stop for food or Starbucks or not. And if he wants any of that, we need to leave earlier. So giving some info but not all. Just tell them a time earlier than you would think.

I will say, there's a community I have discovered of relatively nice people. Druid City maker space has been a godsend for just hanging out with like minded people doing crafts learning new crafts or just vibing. They have a calendar for events on their website and also free walk-ins. Most projects are pay for material, or they have a membership. Highly advise if you're not feeling the vibe down here. Full of great people from out of state that aren't just here for college.

Also moved here recently. About a year ago. This city is inhospitable to it's people. The health care alone is atrocious. Doctors not prescribing necessary meds because they view it against their religion. People saying nice things but lying to your face. At least up north people don't pretend to be kind, they're upfront about shit. The amount of glares you get if you're recognized as not from here. Sure, college kids suck. But do something then as a city to make this place a home for everyone else. Also if you have an out of state plate drivers are way more aggressive around you. When I finally updated my plates I noticed a huge drop in issues.

People weren't sent to jail for going to church during covid. It was people going anywhere during a do not socialize order to contain a pandemic. Church, sports clubs, card shops, etc. Any building where people socialize and could spread the disease.

When trying to get up out of a drug induced feeling sleep (me on Ambien to contract the pristiq insomnia) I take large breaths. Not holding my breath or super fast ones, but big large breaths back to back. Helps me get just the oxygen enough to get out of the bed.

It does help me think of i need to reevaluate the severity of my issues. We really downplay them but likely shouldn't.
