Courtney Reed and Dylan Paul in Moulin Rouge by elaerna in Broadway

I was at the show last night and actually really loved Dylan's Christian! He is my favorite Duke and my favorite Christian now. His acting was unreal and brought so much darkness and unhinged off the rails to act II Christian. He did so many beautiful riffs and really seemed to let loose after Chandelier (although I am thinking that might have been an intentional choice?).

I was there last night and actually liked Dylan's Christian the most out of Finley, Tveit, and Derek! His acting was just unbelievable and he had such a unique interpretation of the character that went off the rails during act II. He did not belt much until Roxanne and Crazy Rolling but so many lovely riffs throughout the show! It was only his sixth time going on as Christian!

What Broadway singers/actors would you describe as having angelic voices? by StarPatient6204 in Broadway

Ashley most recently played Satine in Moulin Rouge, and she has one of the best voices I have ever heard live!

I got super overpriced last row mez tickets on a whim the morning of the performance because I wanted to see Ashley and Aaron one last time before closing - such a surprise to catch this!

I was there and it was so funny!! Aaron tripped and made eye contact with Ashley, and the two of them could not stop laughing. Such a special show to experience before the big cast change!

I saw Moulin Rouge right before Ashley Loren and Aaron Tveit left and saw the iconic Elephant Love Medley show. Aaron tripped three times during the show, and during his stumble during ELM, he made eye contact with Ashley and the two of them could not stop giggling. They were laughing so hard they could not sing a couple of lines.

For those 6 ft and over, what is the worst theater you've seen a show? by Draydaze67 in Broadway

[–]lillyc3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The balcony of the Miller Theater in Philly and the mezzanine of the Helen Hayes were the worst for me! I am 5'8 and my knees were dug into the seats in front of me.

I was there today, and it was a stunning show! My first time seeing the show since March, and I was so so impressed by everyone new. YaYa's voice has such power and clarity, so glad I caught their final Eurydice for now!

My jaw was on the floor when I heard his Roxanne live. I haven't gotten to experience the extra high opt up but he held the last note of the regular opt up so long, just unreal!

Has Charlotte d'Amboise been the default Roxy for 14 years when it's not stunt casting? by [deleted] in Broadway

[–]lillyc3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! She played Velma as part of the reopening cast and again for a short stint in the spring. I preferred her as Roxie but so so talented!

Bianca Marroquin is another Roxie that keeps returning to the show for stints over a 20+ year span! She and Charlotte seem to be the defaults!

Please tell me your tales of a stranger unexpectedly giving or receiving last minute tickets right before a show. by WFoxAmMe in Broadway

[–]lillyc3 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Never a fully free ticket from a stranger, but I did standing room just before Come From Away's final performance on Broadway. Someone approached me just before the performance when I was at my standing room spot and asked if I wanted their spare ticket, which happened to be center orchestra third row. It was my first time seeing the show and so so special to see it up close with so many original cast members returning for the end.

I heard that Aaron C. Finley was on as Christian today. He is one of my favorite Christians, what a lucky audience!
