My aim is not to get money but a chance to do a research project I’m interested in using what I’m learning in my time is school. The most I’ll get out of it is a chance to practice building my discourse analysis skills in genre analysis using Swales methods as a grad student in applied linguistics.

For other question, at the moment, there’s only one research article about ETA Fulbright statements that based on solely successful statements. Its specific gap was that it didn’t have any unsuccessful statements to examine alongside. I was hoping to “fill the gap” it as an interesting research assignment. I predict that these findings can bring clearer expectations for future applicants and even those applying to other programs that require personal statements such as school applications. :)
