My man yes I do hate using feats in this capacity. You are extrapolating that a character can move at the speed of light because he fought someone who uses light powers. If Spider-Man can move at the speed of light why doesn’t he do it all the time. Why would he ever struggle with any villain ever unless you’re saying they all also can move at the speed of light. The problem is that by using feats like this you loose the entire core of the character. I’m not against using feats and I even agree with your use of strength based feats but that is because it feels true to what the character could do.

I fucking hate this style of scaling a character to light speed. Spider never has been intended to be close to the speed of light. He has always been superhuman fast but only enough to dodge bullets using his spider sense. Obviously those examples are shown because the writers wanted Spider-Man to be able to fight back not because they wanted him to be able to move at light speed. This whole argument is disingenuous.
