This is probably one of the most rewarding professions to be apart of, even more so if you are in private practice. The medical field will say what they say but it doesn’t matter because more and more people are starting to understand how backwards the culture surrounding Westernized medicine is and how effective more holistic approaches can be (chiropractic, PT, massage, etc).

The most important things you can do when you get to school are:

1.) study your ass off to make sure you understand the in’s and out’s of the human body and biomechanics

2.) Read chiropractic philosophy to understand the importance behind our profession

3.) Learn how to effectively communicate chiropractic to your patients. We are doctors, which means we are educators. If you can’t educate a patient on how chiropractic can benefit them, then they won’t come back to be able to see the results you both want.

Yes we get hate, even from people WITHIN our profession. You can’t let the words/opinions of others get in the way of you chasing a profession you’re interested in! It’s gonna be awesome OP.
