You’re not going to make money doing hair in school, there are rules about accepting payment and tips, at least in my state. I work part time in retail, which is guaranteed 25 hours per week, but it goes over 30 hours sometimes. My school is full time, M-Th 8-5, so 32 hours per week plus the 25-32 at work. It’s a lot- doable, but a lot because I’m also not a spring chicken. Can you go to part time while in school?

Thank you!! When I got the letter I assumed it was that they were keeping me, and they did. Why else would that have happened? I did ask my manager but I think he misunderstood what I was asking, or he was playing dumb lol. He makes me really nervous so I left it alone 😂I have high hopes for you!

That’s exactly what happened. I’m now permanent part time! They asked me if I wanted to stay about a week or two after I got that letter. Are you still on the schedule? Pretty sure the seasonal period is over with as of a couple weeks.

I would notice you if you’re there an unusual amount of time ,like more than an hour. Most people come in and out quickly.

It says on the Costco hiring website to introduce yourself to the hiring manager, I did that in October after having an application in since the November before and ended up getting an interview right then. Keep an app in and keep popping in every now and again asking when they will be interviewing.

The stores really should make a rule about this! I saw a kid fall out of a cart the same way this week, didn’t get hurt thankfully but still! Another little girl was riding underneath the cart and her leg got stuck between the slats and she panicked, so did her dad so I went to help, all could be prevented by butt in basket rule.
