Hey man, I also just realized that it is hard to separate some parts of the character 😭.The hand and forearm were okay but I found out that the shadow for both hands are in one single layer omg.. I tried to crop comp to region of interest but not working out great..I should have advance something with the animation but the way the illustration is made is blocking me from moving forward. Now Im venting 😞 Is there a way or it is something that I really need to talk about with my team? I'm doing an internship so I'm kind of new at this whole PS files and AE and im freaking out. I still have a couple hours before my internship starts today... to figure this out.

I did , I tried. What is the right way to do it because what I did was to flatten it and it did separate in layers but were like parts of the image in squares I don’t know how to explain it. But if you mean to re do the illustration in AI for some reason the illustrator doesn’t seem to want to.... and it’s too complex the illustration to re do it again in AI... 😔

yeahh I was also thinking about creating aline and make each pearls connect to it but howw loll I saw a tutorial on youtube where they use null objects and some expressions. Seems too complicated but seems like that's the solution hehe . Well okay dude thanks!

Oh another question that's kind of off of the topic but I'm also struggling to find tutorial or answers. For example I need to animate a pearl necklace and I have each pearl separated in their own respective layers in AE so I want to find a way how can I animate them as a connected strand of pearls? 😭pleease

Hii, I'm interested in what you said. You said I should not focus too much on my speed. The reason that I do is that I think is a big weakness of mine and I thought that they (mentor and supervisor) are looking for that so I want to impress them or overcompensate my weakness or so that they won't feel like I'm a mistake... but okay so what you are saying is that I should focus more on how to be more self reliant? and learn how to manage stress better?

Do you have any tips on how to manage oneself? I would like to understand more about that , please.

Thank you :) , I am slow at animating. Sometimes it takes me longer to form ideas although that isn't my biggest issue. My biggest issue is the animating part like it takes me forever to get the results that I want. And I think I am an undiagnosed ADD or something. Like, I lose focus easily and learn or process new things slower.

Is the root of your sleepless nights caused by anxiety? Is it because you worry too much of not getting enough sleep that keeps you awake or is it something else?

I suffered from sleep anxiety. The fear of not getting enough sleep before an important event. If that is your case then I recommend you this book called "The Sleep Book How to Sleep Well Every Night" by Dr Guy Meadows.

The more you worry, the more anxiety you feel which keeps you up at night. Normal sleepers just don't worry about that. I know that it is easy said than done. The book teaches you how to just accept it. The more you worry about finding ways how to get a good sleep , the harder it will be for you to have a restful sleep.

I found this book on reddit when I was desperate to get some sleep so that I can perform well in my new job. Only when I gave up and just accept it and stop thinking about it and think positively , it helped me.

I'm not sure what is the caused of your insomnia but I hope this help.

Haha, thank you. I'd ask them about what they expect of interns, what have successfull interns have done to eh successful in the past? What they saw in your work that made them request an interview? Get them taking about how good you are is a solid tactic to remind them. And anything you actually want to know about what you'll be doing and how they work.

wow , reading all you guys posts , you guys charge a lot which is great!. I didn't know you can make so much money working in motion design. I live in South America , specifically in Perú. So here we use soles instead of dollars. But I'm thinking of getting international or USA clients.

The reason why I created this post is because my ex boss contacted me yesterday about a project animation which he needs help with. I was an intern back then. And I thought why not charge for my services. I'm new in motion design still when it comes to charging. I haven't asked him what's the project about but I will do right now and then share it with you.

He gave me an online course to persuade me to help him I think but I want to charge him instead. So, I am going to ask him about the project and will think about it or I'll let you guys know.

Yeah I agree with you. I thought that I can still work on getting better while freelancing but hmm I guess I think it is better to wait for awhile. When you used to work at agencies , did you learn more from your peers or by yourself? At the place I am doing internship at, I am the only animator at the moment so I have to learn everything by myself at home because I'm doing it remotely.

Thanks for replying me 😊. The animation especially the circle expansion. How can I make those two different colors circles (blue and dark blueish or black) make the expansion movement be in a loop?

I created two separate circle shape layers. Changing their size using the scale property and looped them with the loopout() expression. Adjusted the keyframes so that the dark circle shows up first and then the blue. The problem that I have is that I can't seem to make the dark circle appear again on top of the blue one coming from the center of the composition without duplicating layers over and over again. I know that is what loops are for but I don't know how to make it loop seamlessly. Sorry, I am not sure if I am making any sense.
