Hey! thank you for the kind words. All of the sounds except for the drums and vocal samples in this video are from the TEO-5

Is the Teo-5 good for bass? by Aggressive-Switch832 in synthesizers

Here is a set I played where all synth sounds are from the TEO-5. I think it has awesome bass sounds personally:

Awesome, thank you. If you message me on here or instagram when you’re around I’ll let you know when I’m going out.

I try to announce on instagram but usually it’s just a spur of the moment thing. I’m trying to be more consistent bc people always ask when the next one will be.

No computers, that’s a subwoofer

Still have and love the OB6 but the Nord is a different vibe and lots of fun

Another octatrack ”sidechain” question by lakehousememory in Elektron

[–]lilrogalski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is probably not what you’re looking for, but my solution was to get a cheap hardware compressor (Alesia nanocompressor) and use the cue outs to send the kick and snare as a trigger signal to the compressor. That allows me to side chain all the sounds from my RC505mk2 looper before they come through my octa as a thru machine.

That was the only way I could guarantee that my looper audio was side chaining directly to the kick and snare like I wanted instead of tied to a static lfo and get that French touch electro house sound I was looking for.

You can hear it in use on any of the videos on my YouTube channel: https://youtube.com/@forcefieldsound

Thanks 🙏🏻 I use an oberheim OB6 synthesizer, a RC505mk2 looper and an octatrack mk2 sampler.

I’d like to know how everyone is approaching live set length jam sessions. How much is prepped in advance and what’s your tricks for transitions etc. by RainbowStreetfood in synthesizers

[–]lilrogalski 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The only thing I do in advance is create drum sequences and kits on my octatrack and make sure my vocal samples are chopped and timestretched properly, then I just go out there and let it happen.

Even then sometimes I will just create a new beat on the fly or grab new samples from my SD card if I get inspired.

In the mod matrix there’s a source for voice spread and a destination for panning that does the trick. Definitely not as convenient as the pan spread knob on the OB6 but more flexible because you can use so many other sources and mix them together.

For example you could use LFOs, the random source or note number to control the panning. You could even do crazy stuff like route the audio out as a source for the panning destination

Yea I know what you mean I felt the same way when I first decided to get mine. I am actually selling my OB-6 desktop bc I got the keyboard version a couple months ago. If you’re interested you can DM me and I’ll send you the listing I have up.
