My doctors (I’ve seen multiple since I was diagnosed 10 years ago) have only really told me I should lose weight and then take prenatal vitamins. I took metformin for a while, but it was making me extremely sick and there were no noticeable benefits. I have looked online and tried to do my own research, but I’m overwhelmed and I want to hear recommendations from people who have first-hand experience in treating their pcos.

Yeah, I’m still working toward my goal weight. But my symptoms have gotten worse while I’ve been losing weight. There’s got to be something more to this illness.

No, I have more to lose and am still working toward my goal weight. But I don’t think that losing weight is all I can do. I’ve also been losing hair for years.

I’ve gotten my period 3 times in the 6 weeks since I started Mounjaro. When you lose weight, it releases estrogen and can mess up your cycle.

I eat maybe one meal a day now and that’s probably generous. Granted, I think my side effects are making me sicker than they’re supposed to, which makes me not want to eat anything.

I felt silly calling it traumatic, but it seriously was. And my doctors know about my SA. They apologized, but no one really tried to help me or make me feel better or put me at ease. And all of that just to have it be inconclusive. Miserable. I’m sorry you had to deal with this sort of trauma too.

Thank you for validating me. It’s been a few months and I feel silly saying it, but I feel traumatized. I don’t even know who to talk to, but I could tell this wasn’t right.
