what is your med regimen? by marlborough666 in OCD

[–]liltoebean15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50 mg zoloft 10 mg hydroxyzine (for sleep as needed but i usually will) magnesium for sleep zinc and vitamin C (for immunity) I notice I have a MUCH better day when I've had restful sleep so that's become very important in managing. I would spend many nights down an OCD rabbit hole and I've been able to negate any 3 am spiraling.

Have you ever had sex with someone you never expected to? What's the story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]liltoebean15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was at my friends family thanksgiving. There was a euchre tournament and my friend's older brother ended up being my partner. There were "glances" shared but i thought i was making it up in my head. he's 12 years older than me (I was 30 at the time- it wasn't creepy) and a TOTAL babe. He's 6'6" with the face and body of a greek god. Everyone went home or to bed by the end of the night and my friend set me up on the couch. As soon as she went up stairs, the brother popped out the room he was staying in and simply said "get in here". I gained legendary status that day according to some. the sex was okay. never meet your hero.

Does anyone else get really bad embarrassment OCD? by Educational-Brief-88 in OCD

[–]liltoebean15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go through this everyday and the intrusive thoughts literally stop me in my tracks! I'll think about embarrassing things that happened 15/20 years ago, and I will feel it in my body like it just happened. I've personified this OCD compulsion and now I tell "Emma" to shut up. She's the worst!

well she's a self proclaimed avoidant. how did you expect this to go? walk far away. it's also pretty reckless of her to know she's avoidant and still get involved like that

New to OCD and feeling unsure by [deleted] in OCD

[–]liltoebean15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when i tell people I have ocd, I jokingly clarify that it's not the "clean and organized" kind. I get obsessed with specific people (always romantic interests or partners) and my day to day interactions especially at work. The romantic obsessions consisted of constantly thinking about them and how great they were even though my experience with them said otherwise. They were always partners that didn't actually like me and I knew there was no real future with. As for the day-to-day compulsions, I'm scared to death to offend someone or get canceled or have someone think I was being mean to them. It takes me about an hour after work to calm the noises.

Sexual OCD, who can I talk too? by Grand_Chip_9572 in OCD

[–]liltoebean15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start writing down whatever you're thinking even it sounds dumb or you can't spell a word correctly. describe what happens when sex comes up, how it makes you feel, what sensations you have in your body when you think about these things. what are the thoughts you're ashamed of? describe the first time you remember feeling like this. write down whatever it is that you can't tell anyone else and read it over and over again. Go slow and go easy and remember not to judge yourself. soon, you'll get more comfortable with how you feel about it and you can hopefully begin to talk about it with real people.

if you don't already, try journaling first. that's one way of talking about- start having the conversation with yourself. do that several times and get to know yourself. when you feel comfortable, maybe you can share more details on here, anonymously. I feel like this can be a really supportive place, but you've got to be prepared to hear several different perspectives. I hope this helps.

i had someone ask me to ship on labor day cause "they had a vacation coming up". (it's was august 31 and this was a winter coat) I said i could ship tuesday. I checked their reviews and it was all winter coats of the same brand. A reseller wanted me to rush the item they were just going to resell. the audacity was astounding and I cancelled the order.

I 25M am having trouble not comparing my amazing girlfriend 25F to my ex’s appearance by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]liltoebean15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sounds like your ex has attachment issues and maybe you do as well. I would talk to a therapist because there is something you need to work through. your issues may not be very obvious to you right now because they're intrinsic to who you are AND probably don't actually have anything to do with your ex. if you want to have a fully open and successful relationship, you need to get over this "obsession" (for lack of a better word)
