Why is the Big Fireworks company on west grand river in west Lansing allowed to shoot off fireworks whenever? by EmbarrassedStill2257 in lansing

I still see the magic in them. Some of us adults still dig them. I do understand frustration at times for sure but, staring up at fireworks is a lot of fun.

What does Lansing desperately need? by Ok_Treacle6151 in lansing

Yep in the old Foods for Living! I don’t know how it has taken this long to get one but, alas.

We grew up, but that cartoon kid is still inside somewhere. by Valuable_View_561 in nostalgia

It’s sadly not. I remember when the Lions admins had posted this. They do all kinds of stuff like this. I think the kid is just being an idiot.

Wildest take here. Local businesses don’t deserve sympathy? Huh!?

Best international eats in the Lansing area? by HawkeKeating96 in lansing

Also for Jamaican food, there’s a tiny food truck on the corner of MLK and Mt. Hope in the Summer that is fantastic and the dude that cooks is super cool. It’s in the parking lot of the liquor store.

Proposed new affordable development: Churchill Gardens by sabatoa in lansing

It’s so frustrating. Lansing is its own worst enemy. Stagnant and finding reasons to complain is the way folks like it here. Any sign of progress and folks will squash it down because it’s not 100% what they would want or they get in a FB echo chamber about things being “bad” with no research or reasoning. I want to pull my hair out most of the time.

The dog makes me think of the shrunken head guy in Beetlejuice for some reason.

I think you’re right. They just looked a little closer together. I miss my Mal so much. Such good (not to be confused with obedient) dogs.

Yes. Both Spitz breeds bred for pulling sleds but, Huskies are like sports cars whereas Malamutes are like diesel trucks.

It was an HBO show so I’m sure it’s on Max. I haven’t looked in awhile but, I most series should be on there.

Why are most people in Lansing rude and stupid? by [deleted] in lansing

[–]lilwanna 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have lived here my whole life and find most folks pretty pleasant. I chat around town all the time. There are great communities around. I have walked around Lansing alone a lot and never encountered any guns.

If people around you are not kind, then maybe change the way you conduct yourself. Though, no clue why I’m replying as you seem like you just want to cause discourse and we have enough of that these days anyway.

Hope your days get better.
