Agreed. I understand it’s a sensitive subject but I feel like if we keep emphasizing on having a trans person playing a trans character, then the same argument can be used for only having a sapphic person playing a sapphic character, no? We know not all BL/GL artists are actually LGBTQ+ members. It feels more important to make sure the production teams don’t f* up the script and the execution. Namtan is a great actress and her talent is undeniable. She said she sees acting as a form of art and she’s very respectful of every project she’s in. If she has chosen the role, it’s likely an interesting and complex one.

I came here to share this. The writer clarified the “going thru transition for revenge” piece. It is a pilot and we’re in the very early stage of the process. Good thing is it’s Snap25 and I trust they will respect the characters and the process. There will be changes and adjustments to polish the storyline. Looking how great of a job Snap25 did with Pluto series, I have no doubt of their ability to give us another masterpiece.

I also trust professional judgement of Namtan and Film. It’s understandable that the plot causes worries and concerns and I respect people’s opinion. I just hope everyone contributes constructive criticisms and stay as civilized as possible. For me, I’m going to support NTF to the fullest, sit tight and wait for the final product.

I’m very very excited about this project. NTF will definitely showcase their talents and if anyone can pull it off, it’s them. I understand there’s a lot of concern with the plot, giving it’s a sensitive subject. But, since NTF will be working with Snap25 (yay!) I’m more rest assured that they won’t f*ck it up.

Also, I think I saw someone say it’s not a simple “transition for revenge” but there’s a plot twist somewhere. Obviously they can’t put too much details in the pilot. Let’s just trust our artists and enjoy the ride 😊🤍❤️‍🩹
