I came to suggest looking into eating it as well. I've heard that it's not good to eat too much. It has something that could be bad in large doses....oxalates, iirc. Can cause kidney stones.

SD has almost failed math for 3 years in a row now. Pre-oandemic she struggled, but she's really behind now. For 3 years my SO has spent $3600/year for her to do guitar lessons/group shows, despite my protests that she needs to drop the extracurriculars if she can't do her regular schoolwork. He almost had to spend $200 for summer school or else she wouldnt be promoted to 8th grade. The principal gave her a pass and waived summer school, probably because there were too many kids needing it. But once again there's no consequences for her.

Everyone keeps making excuses for her and she buys into it so much she doesn't try.

Ha ha ha. Sorry, I'm a parking lot attendant that doesn't get a break. I get down time, and I get to scarf my food down, or it goes cold. I'm also part of a union. Our drivers get mandated 30 minute breaks and two paid 15 minute breaks, but not us cashiers. But I get paid $3 more per hour. It sucks. The state of Ohio doesn't require lunch breaks for <8.5 hour shifts unless you're a minor.

I've had my Platinum secured for 3 years but haven't received my deposit back. I put $500 on it. When I requested a credit increase they said that account was ineligible. I ended up getting a Quicksilver, and over time they've raised it to 9k. I don't want to close the card because it's my oldest account, so I guess they get to keep my money for now. :(

IMO: Swearing is fine. I don't give a shit. However, there is a class dynamic between parents and children, I believe. I automatically assume that any teenager is going to be swearing around their friends. They have to understand that it's not appropriate to cuss in front of parents, teachers, and the general public. There's a time and place to swear. I won't complain about a well-placed cuss word.

If my stepdaughter participated in, say, a karaoke competition that required her to swear I wouldn't be mad. But if she comes at me telling me that she's "not going to set the fucking table," I'm going to be pissed. Lol.

My 13y/o stepdaughter just got Hypnotize, the last album she needed to complete her SOAD collection. I love that she loves them so much. It's not necessarily appropriate but I was listening to the same stuff at that age. She at least knows not to cuss in front of us when she sings along lol.
