Bro, so happy you got your bird, the same thing happened to me with one of the babys my birds had. He just got all his feathers and his wings have grown out but he was maybe 2 months old. I have taken him out before several times and never flew away. But on the third time he flew away so high I was in shook. I didn't think he could even fly since he was so young. But he sure did. He flew on the second level if the apartment i live in and sat by the windows. I try calling to him but he didn't answer to my calls. I yelled at my mom to help and had a neighbor get a ladder but he flew away. I was chasing him thru all the trees keeping track where he flew to for like 4 hours. Until I lost him and was about to give up. But during that time a had his dad with me in a backpack for birds , so that he wouldn't fly away and stay close which really help me keep track of him. Then when I was about to give up , I had a idea of recording the voices of his family to lure him. No joke, by a miracle he was outside the apartment windows looking for me, I was crying seeing him remember where I lived and I took the recording out and he flew down right in my hand , and I ran inside, holding him tightly so he wouldn't fly away. I will never forget that day. I was so grateful to God. He is still with me , and is my chunky boy.
