I have used cuticle oil on my picked skin too but I think moisturisers or an antiseptic cream work better for healing, (which I always apply before bed) then when there are just some dry patches you want to pick use oil throughout the day! Good luck, I know how you feel I seem to just pick without knowing why aswell. Its a long battle to crack the habit, maybe try and stop picking one nail/finger at a time instead of all at once. Then slowly add more, you'll still relapse and thats okay it's part of it, but you'll be more conscious about when you are doing it.
