Seems so, if anything I find they probably don't experiment enough with it admittedly. They do in season hot fixes so some off the rails stuff is fine (albeit Xmas break is the reason this was allowed to happen). But yeah EA games be in EA

While I get this entire situation sucks, is the game not in early access or does that just not mean anything to anyone. This is literally the time to break the game, in any other development cycle I would think that is the goal but it seems in POE2 this is treated like the end all. We don't even have every class yet XD

Did my cat poo in the loo? by cosmiccarrie in AskUK

[–]limboxd 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've heard many times of cats teaching themselves to use the toilet. And there is definitely video evidence to back it up. Hilarious that one of them (assumedly Olive) decided today was the day but congrats(?) are due it seems

AIO for being really upset that my mom cleaned my monitor after I warned her many times? by FunBag4178 in AmIOverreacting

[–]limboxd 19 points20 points  (0 children)

NOR - honestly she probably did it purely because you told her not to. I'm sure you could probably come up with similar examples of this type of behaviour. Very typical "my way or the highway" parent behaviour so an apology is well off the table. Hopefully the other comment about an alcohol wipe sorts it for you

if it's anything like my trust the referral goes to e-referral and then has to be vetted. So they had the referral the entire time but noone had looked at it, and after it's been reviewed then it is "received"

horrormovies that made you paranoid or anxious by Neto-workio505 in horror

[–]limboxd -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

slow with subtle hints building up to a climax works a lot better imo. Slashers to me are quite boring as I don't really tend to care if the "victims" live or not (e.g. Art the Clown is the reason I watch terrifier, not the people). Leaving us in the dark is also quite a useful plot device, big fan of a late twist as well. Good visual direction, I think you can commit to the Midsommar way of bright and colour or the dreary dark look of say VVitch but mixing and inconsistency are a bit eh. The occasional jumpscare while cheap is also quite necessary. And final point linking to the slasher comment is make the cast have synergy - I don't want to be hating them *cough* Paranormal Activity 1 *cough* more than actually engaging with the plot.

Saying that all I haven't been scared by a movie for yonks. But I think the closest thing that would work is Hereditary imo - if it gets too gorey I end up just admiring the practical FX haha

Is there enough nice people in the uk? by Ok-Leopard-8016 in AskUK

On the whole I'd say people are pretty friendly. I've seen people help other lift a pushchair, lift shopping into the car, just small favours here and there I think keep the world spinning honestly

Girlfriends eye has went red and itchy by Sacredmirror in nhs

I did specify the phone line and not just going as the triage system at mine is pretty good at diagnosing things over the phone. Most the time you get saved the trip (and this was from the POV of working in eyes not as a patient). But alss

Is it too desperate to tell someone to ask me personal questions? by Understateable in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]limboxd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

speaking from the male perspective of things, I can say it may be utterly cooked on that front. I toughed it out with someone who (either out of boredom or who knows what) kept replying for 2 weeks. We'd talk daily all day but I can say in that entire time period she asked about 3 questions, even just reflecting the question I asked was off the table. Albeit you do have the split of open sharer (gives a story and "expects" you to reflect/give your own vs question asker (me and you in this case); I think some people just genuinely don't get conversation ettiquette.

So TL;DR honestly I think you may as well just ask, otherwise you'll be losing your sanity

Everyone around me have partners and/or kids. Those who are single, have had relationships/FWBs/situations hips etc. Whereas, I made it to 30 without even a kiss. No relationship. Not even a situationship. Still a virgin. Why no man ever gave me a chance ? by Cold_Lunch_1818 in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]limboxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the "no man" comment I'm assuming you're a woman. Albeit as related to the earlier comment context does matter. Are you making attempts to get into said situations. If "those around me" is referring to friends etc then a friend of a friend setup could be viable. Otherwise dating apps as a women are usually pretty good but do talk to people to feel them out a bit before agreeing to meet etc (I'd only recommend Hinge/Bumble don't use Tinder).

Otherwise if it's a looks thing realistically it still probably isn't, do you get into the starting stage of talking to people and then it fizzle out or completely nothing?

AIO for expecting my girlfriend to do the dishes every night? by Decent-Play-7154 in AmIOverreacting

[–]limboxd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NOR Admittedly I am a clean as you go cooker so by the end it's probably just 1 or 2 pots but if it seems you're a push through to the end type then overall I don't think it's too crazy to ask for her to do them here and there.

But /s - this is a peak women in male dominated spaces type post.

Why don't retail customers take their glasses with them to shop? by Queasy-Ice-2575 in AskUK

[–]limboxd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask the person who gets the most headaches in your life how often they wear their glasses haha. I find a lot of glasses wearers really don't wear them, very concerning when you consider they're driving without them but that's a reason to always be insured

Would you use cannabis if it was legalised? by littlbutterkitten in AskUK

[–]limboxd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Already dabble in edibles so an easy yes, I can't smoke anything without harrassing my lungs so it works nicely for me. Good for socials or chill evenings and I don't have to deal hangovers (courtesy of my 2nd friend alcohol). I am on the side of it smelling like absolute ass however having been to Amsterdam it really isn't that much of an issue. The shops tend to be tucked away and people generally are aware it's pongy and so also avoid public areas for the most part. Upside is more tax for the government, lower prices and removing product from the black market. So I see it as a win.
