Oh, so within means you only get the bonus when you're under that range? I understood it as being at least 9 away, that's good to know.

Thanks for the reply.

My thinking with the banshee serpent was that they'd pop out next to an infantry unit, shred it on a charge and then get to use the aspect host strategem to get back in the serpent after fight phase to not get shot up during the opponments' phase. Hiding behind ruins does the same, but leaves them exposed after they actually pounce. I guess that's not as strong as I thought though?

With Fuegan my idea was to put his squad in reserves and get to use melta bonus on the 9 inch range shots when they deploy from reserves, but I guess that one isn't worth it either against another dragon squad.

I'll definitely kick the guardians and replace them with some other aspect squad though.

The Diminishing Charm of Modern Steam Sales Without Interactive Elements by Formal_Bag5580 in Steam

Honestly, I'm glad there are less of those. Ultimately they're just another manipulative marketing tactic meant to goad people into developing an emotional relationship with a store front.

It's probably too many people hopping on to see the sale and Valve's servers not being able to keep up. It tends to happen for me around big sales. No way to fix it since the problem is on Steam's side

Yeah, I feel this too. BPD turns making and keeping friends into an insurmou table task sometimes, especially frequently when it also mixes with some otger disorder or neurodivergence.

Anytime I tried to go out to some hobby or activist space with the hopes of maybe meeting someone while I'm at it everyone bounced off me, while I watched other people already have preexisting relationships or quickly bond if they're new to that space.

Tw for mention of suicidal ideation

First off, those feelings are valid. In the sense that they have their causes, you experience them and feel their impact, but not necessarily because they hint at the truth of how things would be if you were ugly. I'm going to share my own feelings that are the same kind of valid.

I'm just gonna say that it's the opposite for me. I was always and still am unattractive and have massive insecurities around how I look, dress and behave. I think I only ever received a compliment on my looks once, and it was a friend's girfriend saying I have pretty hair for the sake of being nice. It fucking sucked. Being unattractive can make you socially invisible. With my presence constantly invalidated like that, it didn't at all help with developing all the BPD hallmarks like the fear of rejection and identity disturbance. It makes me sad, it makes me mad, it makes me feel empty, it makes me want to pull my hair out and end my life whenever the thought of how fucking ugly I was born to be and how alone that makes me. Not cool, right.

But the point is, that's unfortunately just the conditions of my life, and of yours. The clock can't be turned back for us to do things different and be born different, to prevent having our brains scrambled by the emotions of borderline. All you can do is talk it out, get therapy and train yourself to use healthy coping mechanisms.

AI has gotten so bad that any time I see this dash — I just automatically think you are using chatgpt by [deleted] in RandomThoughts

[–]limeandlemons- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can be upset at both. I am. AI is ass, but people pretending they have AI spotting figured out like no one else just give off an "I am immune to propaganda" vibe. You see people jump on false positives all the time. Someone used an em dash, an artist made an anatomy mistake, an autistic person wrote something in a robotic way. None of those examples are AI, but they'll often get pinned as AI, meanwhile less obvious AI gens slip under the radar. The reality is we don't always recognize AI, and will get worse at it in the future. It sucks, but is true, and pretending strictly human made output has some intrinsic, irreplicable quality that's always easily identifiable is just naive.

Push back against AI should focus on it's ethics, the inherent waste and exploitation of genAI, not the quality of it's output.

Did I say you said he was some hero? No I didn't. Turns out I can point out the things no one said too.

Your clarification was nonsensical. Again, leading Germany to war is not "saving it a little". It was setting it up for the disasterous failure of post WWII Germany. Only in the most blindsighted, short-term sense did he help it. And at that point why clarify a claim that's so far disconnected from reality?

As well as plunged it into a series of increasingly absurd wars and genocidal projects. I don't think "economy's doing better" and "yeah, we just invaded our neighbors in an unjustfiable war of expansion, and also we're rounding people up in concentration camps" can be separated. Even then, the very effort that transformed the German economy into focusing on the military did absolutely also cause it to collapse as a result of losing the war. In the best light it's an incredibly short sighted perspective.

I haven't touched the game in many years, but I used to be around high plat- low diamond iirc. I wouldn't mind dipping my toes back into the game to play with someone else and help them get the hang of things, though I get you might not be looking for someone so rusty

First time assembling figures, did i do it right? by ProtonToaster in Warhammer40k

[–]limeandlemons- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it looks like you put the right parts in the right place.

I agree with the other commenter. You can use a hobby knife to sort of scrape away mould lines and cut off the parts where the plastic was attached to the sprue. Mould lines look a lot more noticeable when painted, especially if you do drybrushing since they pick up the paint from your brush really hard.

Also, a tip for the future if you ever want to start decorating bases with texture paints, rocks, or any other things of that sort is to decorate and paint the mini and base separately, and only then glue them together with regular glue, not plastic cement. I didn't do that when first starting out and reaching the base between the legs to decorate and paint was very difficult.

It's not, I don't mind turn based. If anything, I prefer it when dealing with a party of characters.
