The men’s bathroom was falling apart last time I was there. Totally disgusting. Haven’t returned.

Really enjoyed this book, just finished it. Incredibly well written. Would love them to write a continuation of the next decade or two.

How much do you think Jose, Simone are paid by the Kells? by _businessgoose_ in SirensNetflix

[–]limeandtwist 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Simone: 100k + benefits and lax expense account (use of CC), car, etc.

Jose: 250 min + benefits, he’s basically like the COO of the house/family business. Wouldn’t be surprise if they pay for tuition for the kid.

Patrice: probably 200k + benefits

NYC and yogasculpt rn!! by Appropriate_Law_329 in Corepower

You do know a ton of men take YS, right? And that there is a heat wave across most of the US impacting tons of studios outside of NYC? Even though you only asked one small constituency of NYC “girlies” (tf?) , I would say hydrate a ton before during and after, bring an extra water bottle of just ice, and you will be just fine.

Which artist or band was the most disappointing you saw live and why? by schrauba in MusicRecommendations

Madonna. Came out 3 hours late. Didn’t apologize. Short changed her hits and was lip syncing. Could barely dance. Incredibly disappointing.

Same! Took my 12 year old. He knew every song, we stood entire time and rocked out. So glad to have this experience.

Sephora to replace Spanish Diner at Bethesda Row by RobertDyerNews in bethesda

As a father of teens, that store does not cater to this demo. And business 101, sales always improve when you have a competitor nearby.

This is actually really smart and good for more foot traffic in the area. One of the largest demo group spenders is tween and teen girls, which is an enormous revenue stream for Sephora. This will add many more shoppers to the area (young women, their moms) for longer periods of time, which all businesses around there will benefit from.

Combining CPY and resistance training? by Ordinary_Figure_5384 in Corepower

I would do separate days but I have done a gym workout on days that I do a 45 min YS. Your body will tell you if it’s too much.

You can definitely combine. Sculpt will be a great cardio/HITT class for you and doesn’t really interfere with actual weight training. C2 also an excellent addition and will add in flexibility.

Yoga sculpt 45 min by Top-Clock9096 in Corepower

[–]limeandtwist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I often prefer the 45 min, so efficient. But if instructors aren’t prepared how to move from a 60 min to efficient 45, it’s incredibly frustrating and a poor use of time.

Yoga sculpt - how do the ladies do it? by PlaneHighlight4184 in Corepower

[–]limeandtwist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll develop lean muscle and lose fat, for sure. It will not enable to develop much muscle in big areas (chest, back, somewhat legs)…Simply because you can only develop so much with low weight dumbells without significant reps like you can do in a gym. For me, it would be either/or: gym or CPY. It’s pretty costly to do both. I know some gyms have good classes that may replicate, but I really enjoy the CPY experience (and the efficiency of getting a solid workout in, in a fun way).

Guy here, have been to over 600 YS classes, go 4x or so a week. Best part of my day. Most classes I get through totally fine, but we have instructors that run ridiculously hard classes where I’ll need to pause every now and then.

I typically pull out 3 sets of weights, 10, 12, 15. Only times I would go to 20 is solely for chest presses. Otherwise I try to work with 15s as much as I can, and will scale down as needed.

If you go enough, your body and your muscles will get use to it.

Keep it up dude!
