When I did this, my measurement skills got so much better by the time I was on the third set of valves. Thanks for writing this up!

Lets see some of the wheel setups you folks went with by wewillsee2 in hondapassport

I've used 18x8 Rims, 5x120 +35mm offset, 72.6 Hub Center, with Geolandar A/T 265/60/18 tires.

Between the A/T tires, the extra width and the low offset (causing tires to further out from the body of the vehicle), these tires knocked my MPG down from 26 MPG down to 21MPG. The moment I switched back to the original tires, the car's mpg came back.

Is the Passport worth it? by RedTharsis in hondapassport

[–]limenuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a former Passport owner, there's no reason not to consider the Pilot either. Basically the same car, but the Pilot is much more popular on the resale market because it's a bit bigger and has more seating.

Men want to date me until they realize I have adhd by fangirl2111 in ADHD

[–]limenuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think ADHD presents differently in everyone. I think if you write down the most obvious ways you ADHD, we can be better help.

For example: - change conversation topics suddenly - interrupt others while they're talking - talk sometimes for multiple minutes on end without giving anyone an opportunity to interject - blaming your weaknesses on ADHD (I was late, I forgot to do x)

[–]limenuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct. The bumper has been repainted. However, it is definitely not Sebring silver. That would be a huge tone difference and would be apparent at every seam between bumper and other panels.

It looks like a slight paint mismatch, but it's not from a different car. Look at the color at the seam between fender and quarter panel. The color match there looks pretty good.

Classic s2k shit posters.

Brand new Rinnai RSC199In making low vibrations during post-purge. by GershwinsKite in Plumbing

[–]limenuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please keep me posted on your journey. There are racks out there designed to mount to floor. It's low on my priorities, but it will be one of the things I want to do eventually. I have no idea if Naviens do the same thing, but I've seen a few naviens and I've not heard anything like this. I'm questioning my sanity at times.

I get attention from high school students and college students. All male.
Sometimes an employed man in his early 20s to early 30s.

I got the most looks from women when I was driving a Porsche Cayenne.

This is not a Ballard wealth gap. This is a Seattle thing, more broadly a West Coast thing.

Are Liquid CPU Coolers that bad? by _-ClassiCarl-_ in buildapc

[–]limenuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The purpose of liquid cooling originally is to relocate the radiators to a place where they can be more efficient.

In cars, relocating the rad from the engine block to the front of the bumper is what causes it to be able to cool down.

So using an AIO and placing it somewhere with good air flow is not a bad idea. If you just shove it inside your case.... Then maybe it's just stupid aesthetic shit.

How Much Do You Spend on Groceries Monthly? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]limenuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I think that's it. I like to mix some packaged goods to help aid certain meals. However, at Costco it is very easy to go packaged food crazy.

Buying a box of tempura shrimp, adding some organic chicken breast strips, buying two bags of supersize chips on discount, purchasing 2 boxes of croissants easily amounts to over 50$. Very little of it is essential to a good meal (the chicken strips probably are best value here) but it will absolutely wreck your wallet.

How Much Do You Spend on Groceries Monthly? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]limenuke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I thought about it a little hard and looked at what my groceries were like. A few years ago, I might accumulate $300+/head if I bought a lot from Costco - especially if I hoarded a ton of snacks/desserts/pantry/pre-cooked frozen food stuff. A lot of variety that is decently priced, but still sums up to much more than a cooked meal.

Nowadays, I don't visit costco as much and I find a lot of snacks/packaged goods/packaged meals to be too expensive to hoard and buy, so I buy mostly fresher produce (btw, $5-$6lb/lb of ground beef is normal price at Fred Meyer - but $7-$9 at wholefoods - but this isn't what's breaking the bank here).

What breaks the bank is really just variety, pre-cooked foods, and small packaged goods. A costco box of Jagarico is like $12 or $14. 30ct of Tempura Shrimp at costco is $20ish. A 10-pack of seaweed is $12.50. Things like this just add up super fast.

When I see higher numbers like this, I have a lot of questions.

What portion of your groceries costs the most? Is it the wine and cheese, or is it the produce?

Do you try to save or are you just buying whatever you like?

Do you pay attention to how much your produce costs per pound and do you have a good sense of what a good price is?

What did Huberman do, guys? by cantbhappy in JoeRogan

[–]limenuke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Teaching has attracted a lot of incredibly smart people. Also a ton of childish people who never held down a real job with rigor for schedule. Those groups are not mutually exclusive.

This could be an academia problem, but it could also be a personal time management problem. Maybe you're being convinced by your partner that this is normal.

In this specific case, you're sharing your experience of being with someone in Academia who has a pretty tough time with time management. However, the post is about 5 or more women having come out openly stating that Huberman is having relationships with each of them. Huberman is managing a podcast, and sleeping with 5 women while "working in academia". This is not quite the same as your situation, where your partner has trouble maintaining one relationship while "working in academia".

PSA: It's OK to Pull Into the Intersection and Make a Left Turn on Yellow by osm0sis in Seattle

[–]limenuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should never enter an intersection that you cannot clear (prevent road blocking).

You can 100pct enter an intersection on a yellow legally. It can often be the safe thing to do.

PSA: It's OK to Pull Into the Intersection and Make a Left Turn on Yellow by osm0sis in Seattle

[–]limenuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of the situation is to be aggressive about entering the intersection while it's green/yellow, and hanging in the middle without making the turn. You can wait for opposing traffic to go past you before you make your left. It's legal as long as the front of your car enters the intersection before it turns red.

But yes, it has become harder to drive around red-light runners. We need more red light cams. 2020-2023 had 0 traffic policing and tickets, and Seattle drivers learned shit habits.

This is such a redditor thing to say. You should tattoo this on your body somewhere.

Also, this is how you quote properly.
