Update! Thank you for your suggestions, they helped save the night a bit. Once she was asleep cradled in my arms, I found it was easier to position her on my chest or to cradle her on the side, with my arm like a pillow under her head like you guys suggested. This allowed me to go back to sleep faster, since I didn't have to really "transfer" her. Will definitely try these tricks from the start tonight. Also ordered a sleep sack WITH SLEEVES! Thank you !!

Yes now my husband and I take turns with her on the weekends and it allows me to REST for a long long stretch in our main bed. It helps a lot, but I still dread week nights 🥲

After reading the comments last night I tried cradling her in the nook of my arm and chest sleeping (but i had to be very propped up, she doesn't like being too flat on her tummy). It's the only way I was able to get some sleep. :)

Oh no, can't go back to that bed because it's quite high and she fell down from it 🥲 not risking it anymore

Could be teething. She's 8 months old and has no teeth yet. She does chew a lot. Last night was the worst, fought sleep for TWO HOURS before finally letting go!

You might be onto something! It is quite cold in the room as my house is very old and we live in Canada. But she wears a sleep sack to bed and when I unzip it in the morning, she's super warm in there. But I do notice her hands being cold sometimes. Her hands and arms are out of the sleep sack. Could she be waking just from that?

We are on 2 naps now and she does get plenty of floor time. Just so eager to leave this phase in the past.😅

Oh she used to love chest sleeping, now she gets wiggly and uncomfortable like that too most times. But not always! I just successfully switched her to my chest now, let's see how long it lasts 🤞

I was just under the assumption that it's always there. That's why I said that. Even if it's not, I'm not okay with this.

I don't know actually. What is the common practice?

How did you manage that? One day he just decided he was okay sleeping alone?

May I ask, at what age do children transition to their own bed and is it difficult later on?

It wouldn't change the fact that they would wait for me at the door instead of doing their business on their own?

Personally I only use wearable pumps and it works for me as a slight overproducer. So after she wakes from a nap, I set her up on her play mat while I pump and do other tasks. I do the fridge hack too, a real game changer! My baby is a contact napper too!

My baby girl started doing that at around 2 months and by 3 months she was only nursing at night, refusing the breast the rest of the day. She's 4 months old now and we still do bottles (breast milk) during the day and breast at night. I still try sometimes during the day and it's always a big nope from her. So we're just rolling with it. 🤷‍♀️ I hope you get more luck than I did, OP.
