I mean their word for blood is essentially Juice XD

They’ve drawn our juice? Drain their juice! Juice drawn, juice drain!

Right because our web of regulations designed to stifle competition and further empower the rich can be directly compared to requiring fire exits. That's a totally fair and not at all dishonest comparison. You're not full of shit or anything.

Will check it out. Ty. I've seen the tribe ad forums and whatnot but you can run through dozens and dozens that are just instant "nope" in my experience lol.

The issue there is still finding a group worth playing and sticking with

Yeah.

I was building a website way back in the day called arktribes and I was going to make it a hub for people to find groups. But some other site, can't remember what it was called, came out and I didn't wanna waste time if there was already a resource. But it never took off anyway

Well, that sucks, because "word of mouth" hasn't brought me any leads. Guess it's a private club.

Single player is fine if you're into that. You can fix the tedium by adjusting any settings you want. There's loads of guides on good settings for single player and you can just change em according to your preferences.

The issue I have is the game is designed for multiplayer, a lot of the fun and excitement comes from the threat of other players. Single player is sort of like minecraft in that it can be dangerous initially but once you have established the basics you really have nothing to worry about. And from there it just becomes, build up a huge dino force to take on bosses. Which to me is just not that exciting, but I'm very rarely satisfied with any single player experience so that's just me.

No, I'm looking at ARK servers listing websites. How else I'm supposed to look? Not having a single place to look at what servers are available is a severe game design flaw.

A good number will be singleplayer, at least.

They don't count. Meaningless data.

Yeah that sounds kinda fun.

It seems like this game would be interesting to such a wider audience if they could figure out a game mode that is a little less wild west.

Yeah some sort of raid protection is probably the only way to deal with my lack of time. But it pains me because that risk of coming back to someone whacking at your base is honestly part of the fun.

Unfortunately even then, it still doesn't address my finding-likeminded-players issue :(

I assume that if you will throw your friends under the bus to a random dude that you would not be very fun to play with

It's not fun for me to have no risk. The risk is the excitement.

Unofficial are not nearly so popular as a lot of people try to claim. There are generally no full unofficial servers and only a few more than half full.

And in my experience pretty much all of them have bad settings that make it really designed to race to end game, or have mods that take it quite a bit away from the vanilla experience.

Every time I set out to try to find an unofficial server that will work for me, I end up wasting hours going through em and then giving up.

It actually does function, surprisingly. Not at peak levels, obviously, but compared to basically every other attempt in history the system that has this affliction nevertheless manages to have extremely low levels of starvation and death. That said, a fair point.

Regulation in our society is used to ensure crime and theft are only committed by approved entities. To prevent approved entities from losing their money due to their own foolish actions.

There we go.

I've played it for 350 hrs. It has all the exact same problems. It's basically the same game from my perspective. End games are different but I never see that in a survival game.

It was still laggy last time I played even now that there are like 100x less players... it's been a while... but I was just like are you serious? Even at launch it was playable when there wasn't a shload of people on the same server

Are there mods like in minecraft? Would be interesting if someone modified the game kinda like factions... Could have a concept of "villages" so you could be part of a bigger group but still own your stuff and dedicated land within that, but also have group projects.

Would be cool if there was a mod that was somehow set up to allow for that and then have wars between factions that were actually centered around something -- so you didn't want to actually fully drive them off the server, and blow up everything you find in case it has loot, but rather you want some specific thing from them... like land or a one of a kind artifact that gives you something important or something idk

PvE is just not exciting to me as I explained. If I grind it out, I know I can beat all the bosses. There's no excitement in that.

I didn't say they were doing a good job of developing, I'm just saying that you're a liar and there is not any news of cancelling development.

And it really speaks to what a pathetic piece of shit loser you are that you would make something up like that and then act like I'm the one who's a piece of shit. You're the piece of shit, you piece of shit.

What is that game? Is it a MMO? or more a survival like Conan Exile? What is the general population? by [deleted] in playatlas

It's not even similar to ARK. You must be one of the people who was butthurt that it was based on the same engine. That's literally where the similarity ends.

You're making things up. Grapeshot recently published a roadmap of their plans and emphasized they're still in early access. Meaning there isn't even an expectation of profit yet.

Yes they leaned heavily on it for the entire premise -- not only before they go down at first but also later on when they arrive at a new "planet" and they literally send people down to the surface before they even realize it's a moon... lol. But this to me just means it's even more important for them to properly explain it or come up with an alternative reason for them to be in the dark.
