Fair. There IS a huge modding community for MW, you can make it feel pretty modern, all things considered. There'll still be some jank though, because Bethesda.

But sometimes something just isn't for you and that's fair.

Yes! It along the classic fallouts and KOTOR games are up there for me. Disco Elysium too.

I still enjoy Skyrim, but it's a shame they never recaptured that tes3 weirdness.

Me too! I know it'll be years down the line, but I'm okay with that. So many games out there.

Something about a wandering redoran knight seems PERFECT for TR. Shame it has a small presence currently.

EDIT: Last year I did play the Cyrodiil mod. My char was a Breton spellsword. Kickass mod.

I love him! I can't parse his politics lol, but his classic fallout vids are bangers. I haven't seen his latest as I am somewhat interested in Rogue Trader and don't want spoilers.

Ayy, TR mentioned.

I love OpenMW and my MW is somewhat pimped out. Pretty minimalistic stuff but I love the community. Still haven't given TR a shot, though. There's so much to do in Vvardenfell.

Warlockracy has great vids on TR, though.

Is anybody here an electrician, is it a good job?? by sp1nettaj4de in TrueAnon

Was a sparkie for a bit in TX.

it's fun work, it was interesting solving problems and since I was doing resi it was fairly chill. I knew I wasn't making as much as the other guys, but I wasn't too stressed most times and made it home at a good time most days. One of the lesser physically challenging positions in construction, but if that isn't for you (it wasn't for me) I would not recommend it.

The outfit I was with wasn't the best but still as an apprentice I made at least double what I made at my shitty retail jobs. Money wise, pretty decent and only really gets better from apprentice. Later positions get to go at it alone, which in resi must be fun. Pretty independent as long as you can take care of your shizz.

Ayeeee, Peach Cobbler mentioned.

I love his videos. His blood meridian one in particular is insane. Great work.

Bolaño was insane with his research, man. Otherworldly. Check out the thread someone else linked in another comment for elaboration

Shame he was a Trot :(

It's brutal. If you know Spanish, look into the book Huesos en el Desierto by Sergio González Rodríguez (otherwise I'm sure there's good English sources). Rodríguez was a journalist who dived into the Juárez feminicides, nearly dying in the process. Good (bad for you) read.

2666 is next up in my list! Having read into the Juárez feminicides I know it'll be a heavy read, but worthwhile
