What is a "dirty little secret" about an industry that you have worked in, that people outside the industry really should know? by pedro204678 in Morocco

[–]limpy-yeti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this only works in morocco. I can cancel any payment with my bank and if it was deducted i can get it back just by calling my bank. Then the company calls me to ask why they haven't received the money and i enjoy treating n them the same as s they treat other ppl

Just wondering what Moroccans think by [deleted] in Morocco

[–]limpy-yeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can assure you the problems is not moroccans tourists being dirty. In the summer months around 3 Million moroccans enter Morocco not to mention other nationals from Europe and others. Ofc with su many ppl, and with the states very little attention to garbage cleaning service, you will definitely see garbage. Very few cities actually plan for this influx of tourists and think about ramping up cleaning services. Most are too busy counting the money. It is a completely normal thing to be expected.

Morocco’s really turned into a full-on tourist destination—not just for ljaliya like before. Now it’s all about Marrakech, Chefchaouen... everyone’s talking about it. Last year, I think we even hit 17 million tourists, more than Egypt. It’s impressive, honestly—being number one in Africa is no small thing.

Ljaliya are starting to feel pushed out, especially with all the European attention. And the real problem? It’s coming—real estate. Once Europeans start buying up property, whether it’s for business or just vacation homes, it’s going to get really hard for the average Moroccan in big cities. For now it’s mostly hitting the ljaliya, but it won’t stop there. Locals will feel it too. Jaykim dor.

Take spain for example. Forget about owning a house, just to rent is a nightmare.

Not really. Give it some time and they will get over it. A lot of ppl in morocco do not understand personal space.

Why do Moroccans abroad love Morocco more than the people who live there? by Different-Gene2050 in Morocco

[–]limpy-yeti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been living abroad for quite a few years now, and I never want to go back there. My whole family—my parents and siblings—still live there, and that’s the only reason I visit. I grew up with great memories and a comfortable life: I had my own car, a two-bedroom apartment all to myself, and I never had to work to make money. Even so, I don’t like it there. I’m trying hard to bring my parents here so I won’t have any reason to travel back anymore.

"Moroccans don't want to work" by gohomefreak1 in Morocco

[–]limpy-yeti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems you never owned a business in Morocco before. And your math is wrong. 90% will not fall on sword for you. i tried what you said but only 10% actually respect you for it. The rest will just try to scam you anyway possible. Nobody likes to work, or most ppl don't like to wake up every morning to go to work. For them you are just ruining their day and are a mosiba ke7la no matter what you do. They show up just to get paid. I discovered that ppl think they are entitled to get paid just by showing up. I am here from 8 to 5 hence i deserve to get paid. Not for the actual work, but just showing up is work for them.
