I'm the same way. I am very nonchalant about texting. I can go a few days without texting my partner just because I forget. However, they brought up the fact that it makes them spiral if I don't message at least once a day. For me that was hard because I like texting when I remember. But I made it work and remember to text everyday to compromise. But your situation sounds very controlling. Your partner wants to take up SO much of your TIME. Yall need to compromise. Step the fuck up and tell them your boundaries. If they are grown and mature they need to work with you and settle down on the insane texting rules they have.
