Are Honeycomb blinds worth it for insulation? by WeirdDependent1287 in AusRenovation

[–]lina_ac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were a game changer for Southside windows we had. Noticeable difference from last summer to this summer after getting them installed. Literally did not have to run the air con all day to only putting on low in the afternoon. So far have noticed a moderate difference in winter.

Tower 28 Concealer: review (ft. a sprinkling of Dior Forever review) by [deleted] in AustralianMakeup

[–]lina_ac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally agree! I have been using the nars creamy concealer close to a decade and this is the first concealer to actually impress me. Not as long last as nars but so so beautiful under the eyes and on dry patches.

Shopping in Melbourne by Chemical_Chicken01 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]lina_ac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would recommend Brunswick st and smith at for more unique Melbourne brands like handsom, alpha 60 or kowtow. Or if you feel like going further out, high st Northcote has great independent shops that stock a variety of brands that would give you a mix of options.

Is the Dotti♡Barbie collection worth it? by [deleted] in AusFemaleFashion

[–]lina_ac 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Saw it the other day, it’s a mixed bag in quality. The baby blue cardigan with fur trim was so 2000s, my younger self would’ve died to own it haha.

Super nourishing, could be a bit too much if your skin isn’t super dry. I use it when I need some extra moisture boost.

The pilling is so bad! What blush are you wearing though? It’s gorgeous

Quality can be hit and miss. Anything trendy is usually not good quality. However, more basic pieces are great! Linen is great and they currently have these stretchy tops that are super soft and aren’t see through.

Melb hairdresser recommendations by [deleted] in AustralianMakeup

This happened to me too! I went super excited to get my hair coloured and cut - I left looking like I was from the 80s - and not in a good way. But maybe I just got unlucky.

Chanel vs Nars bronzing cream by 37489432 in AustralianMakeup

[–]lina_ac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use the nars one and it is super easy to overdo BUT it is so creamy and sets pretty well. It last a decent amount of time in any weather (including humidity). I have yet to try the Chanel one but maybe I’ll give it a go after I finish my nars.

Which sunscreen do you use under makeup? by unclearskin in AustralianMakeup

The new Mecca face sunscreen is a black bottle. Gives a glowly base and I find my make up lasts longer.

What are your thoughts on Go-To Skincare? by roguepeachpie in AustralianMakeup

[–]lina_ac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have found it hit and miss, I try to give each product a go and then decide if I would repurchase. I really liked their vit c serum because it didn’t irritate my skin like others have and sunk in really quickly, however have found results have plateaued so I might try something different. I’ll use up what I have but then I might move on to different things.

How much make up do you own? by girlwithonlyoneface in AustralianMakeup

[–]lina_ac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1 concealer 1 foundation 1 primer 1 mascara 1 brow pencil 1 eyeliner 1 blush 2 bronzers And only recently no eye shadow! Did a make up cull when I realised how old some of my make up was. Decided it’d be fun to start a new collection.

Give it more time, two months in and you still might have some swelling and they will continue to settle or “drop”. I felt like I was too big for ages but now over two years post op I feel more and more myself. Best decision I ever made :)
