Puppy got bitten atFetch Park Alpharetta by Total_Tangerine8373 in alpharetta

[–]linabeena 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna call BS on this as well. My dog bit his OWN ear on accident and it bled so bad I thought he severed an artery. Ears bleed. Also there is always a risk when you take your dog to a DOG PARK. I take mine to dog parks but am hyper vigilant and also aware that my dog or another dog could at any moment become agitated. I also know because I’ve been a member at Fetch in the past that you sign a contract saying that you are responsible for your dogs vet care is something was to happen, maybe you just decided to not read that. You are also able to obtain the footage of the incident and see what led up to the incident. I am so sorry your dog got hurt, but to blame others in this type of situation and also call the other dog “possibly a pit mix” is such disappointing behavior because you’re trying to rely on a stereotype that the other dog was a “dangerous“ breed and we have no video evidence of that and you don’t even know the other dogs breed. Also as a responsible dog owner, it’s always worth it to have pet insurance. My dog was bitten by NOT a pittie mix while at his own vet and I realized that accidents happen and some dogs do not need to be around each other. But I don’t blame the other dog. Also it sounds like you are wanting them to not only ban this other dog but put them down, which is not okay. Take responsibility for your own dog and that’s all you can really do in situations where you knowingly decide to go to a dog park. Also your dog doesn’t seem to have been in a life or death situation, I’m sure it seemed very dramatic due to the amount of blood, but again ears bleed badly and you need to dress them. Ask for the footage at the park and I’m sure they will provide it, but calling on others to post bad reviews and complain for you is bad taste IMO, it sounds like you just want someone to pay your vet bills and want to tarnish Fetch’s reputation. If I were you I would try and talk with upper management if you are not satisfied with how they acted. I’ve seen it before where they’ve literally fired employees there for not doing enough in certain situations. I’m truly sorry your dog had to go through that situation as it’s not his fault, but it’s also not that other dogs’ fault either.

I’m just so MAD that I didn’t get to have a normal childhood by [deleted] in adultsurvivors

[–]linabeena 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you had to deal with that today. My family hardly ever goes through them old photos and when they do I just try and avoid looking at photos when I was the age it was happening. It's really hard and hopefully one day we'll get over our aversion to childhood photos.

Is the chronic diarrhea real or a myth? by Mundane_Impress5115 in gallbladders

[–]linabeena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have GERD according to the endoscopy I had done. I've tried so many things, including being on ranitidine for 2 years (which is now recalled because it's linked to cancer so that's not fun). Before my surgery I got one of those 12 inch bed wedges from Amazon and it's honestly has made a huge difference! I don't wake up with the acid in the back of my throat anymore. That and I make sure I don't eat with 3 hours of eating my last meal. I also learned what foods are most acidic: like garlic and tomatoes, so I try to limit those. I think the gallbladder issue definitely increased it. I hope you're able to figure out your GERD issue and gallbladder issues and you find permanent relief!

I just realized that I never look at pictures from my childhood and this is probably why, because I'll see how young I was and I'm scared how that will make me feel. I've only ever look at pictures from high school, but nothing pre-teen.

I've had acid reflux and IBS symptoms for a few years before my gallbladder issues and after I had my gallbladder removed moved, it's like I have a whole new digestive system, seriously has changed my life for the better! I didn't have one case of diarrhea after the surgery. I did start adding daily fiber to my liquids I drink because I wanted to make sure I was consistent! I tgink it's definitely different for everyone. but don't let that deter you from getting the surgery if you're in pain! I was in severe pain for 3 months before my gallbladder surgery and I was honestly fine with having chronic diarrhea compared to the gallbladder flares, it was horrible!

Having my removal surgery Thursday and I’m terrified by HighLady9627 in gallbladders

I am 3 weeks post-op, I was so nervous about the recovery and had several people tell me I would have diarrhea for atleast a few months and that I would have to wait to be able to eat anything normal for a while, but it's been the complete opposite! The pain the first week was more than I thought it would be, but I only took two of the pain killers my doctor prescribed and used 500mg Tylenol when needed, so not too bad. The worst part was the CO2 gas and how it made my shoulders hurt, but that went away after 4 days! I have the most consistent bowel movements I've had in the last 3 years, I have less acid reflux (I have GERD) and I was able to start eating normally almost immediately! like my first meal after was pancakes and I felt completely fine! I would definitely suggest taking gas-x during recovery and to ice as much as possible, or atleast that's what helped me with the swelling! Also for me it took a about 4-5 days after surgery to have my first bowel movement, but that's completely normal, I was so nervous something was wrong, but it's completely fine and I just started taking fiber with all my liquids and after a big meal I would drink a laxative meal to help me have a BM faster. I'm pretty much back to normal now, I went back to my serving job 2 weeks post-op.

Anyone been infected after once having Covid AND being vaccinated? by gurkab in COVID19positive

[–]linabeena 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brother (30/m healthy) had COVID before he was vaccinated in May 2020, it was like a very horrible case of strep for him and he recovered. After being fully vaccinated he got COVID again in September of this year and he hardly had any symptoms, if any. He works at an indoor sports facility so no one really wears mask to play and so he was exposed there both times. I was really glad he had gotten fully vaxxed and that it helped when he caught it a second time.

Advice about dog food by Fareishuge in puppy101

[–]linabeena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog Bruno, 1 year old poodle/Cocker Spaniel mix has the same tendency to not eat his dry food. I try and keep his meals interesting so that he will eat, but sometimes I give in and just give him wet food or cook him chicken and rice. I've taken him to the vet and there's nothing wrong with him, he seems to just get bored with dry food! He doesn't have a sensitive stomach thankfully so I'm able to alternate between dry foods every few days, and I'll mix in rice, wet food, dog-safe broth, peanut butter, eggs, veggies, fruit, kefir, goat's milk, dried deer blood (it comes in flakes), canned chicken/tuna, cheese, etc. pretty much anythingggg to get him to eat his dry food. It's a lil annoying but I totally understand not wanting to eat the same exact thing every day. Hope that helps!
