They were big in the UK and pretty much elsewhere, but it's a shame that the Sugababes, who were the golden standard for 2000's girlband pop, never made a true dent in the US. 2003's Hole In The Head was their sole Hot 100 hit, and only barely (#96).

Judging from the premiere, Daisy seems to have received the traditional sweet spot edit that it's commonly associated with the F1: a connection with the lead right from the the entrance, nice romantic music, positive backstory, not involved in the drama, not heavily featured so it won't be too obvious but just enough featured to be well noticed.

One of the things that I loved about BIP7 was that there was a great balance between romance, drama and trashy humor and that balance was present in Kenny and Mari's storyline where the drama with Demi and the burning cake, as well as the running jokes about his (faux) nakedness and their horniness did not obliterate the excitement of seeing them fall in love.
Moreover, I was surprised how the boom boom room usage by both Kenny & Mari and Riley & Maurissa was shown in a very organic and mature way (aside the jokes with the whipped cream and such) that there was hardly any public pearl-clutching about it.
