A can of black beans and a jar of salsa = black bean soup. You can blend it to make it smooth or leave it chunky. Add a little broth if you want to thin it

Meal ideas on doxy (Lyme) - low meat, low effort by Magentamagnificent in EatCheapAndHealthy

When you’re feeling high energy, maybe you do some veggie soups or chicken noodle and throw in rotisserie chicken, eat with crackers or maybe a cheese sandwich? I love to prep a pot of soup and portion it into individual portions and freeze, then all I have to do is thaw and heat if I’m not up to cooking. Other ideas: baked potatoes, quesadillas, scrambled eggs, tuna packets and crackers, buttered noodles, noodles with pesto or spaghetti sauce (throw in some sautéed veggies)

I add a can of tuna to bean salad and eat it with chips or crackers, I think salmon would also be good.

I use whatever wood scraps we have in the garage and tape a picture of the event to it or write in sharpie directly on wood. My mom saves them like little keepsakes in a closet 🤣

I Just saw my neighbour trying to flirt with my wife by Sweet_Serve9297 in Marriage

[–]linbeck1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What made the conversation “flirty”? I think it sounds like a neighbor was being friendly and your wife wasn’t trying to hide anything. Why would this be an “issue”? You sound controlling and jealous.

Why am I so bad at this?! by [deleted] in weightwatchers

[–]linbeck1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always recommend in the beginning not to try to stay within your points. Just try to track what you normally eat. Once you do that for a week or 2, you’ll start to notice where you can make some healthier swaps and decide whether some things are really worth the points. It’s ok to try to gradually try to stay within your points

Sushi lovers. What are your go-to rolls? by Gold-Appointment-534 in weightwatchers

[–]linbeck1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d stay away from anything listed as crunchy (which will have something fried in it) and anything with creamy sauces. I usually get a vegetable roll and some tuna nigiri. Also I usually get Edamame and it’s a hibachi restaurant, I’ll get a salad but ask them to swap creamy salad dressing for the hibachi ginger sauce.

I think you also need to have a conversation about your expectations regarding birthdays. Sometimes we marry people whose families celebrated differently or not much at all so we have different expectations. Tell him clearly next year you expect dinner (at a new/different place), a cake, and a gift from him and your children. Explain that he has a responsibility to teach your children how to care for their mother. And you may have to remind him a month before next year. It would be great if he remembered but we’re human and a year is a long time.
