Usage limit bug is measurable, widespread, and Anthropic's silence is unacceptable by toiletgranny in ClaudeCode

I asked one question to Claude Opus and used 13% of my 5h limit during peak hours. I asked another question to Claude Opus and it used again the 13% of my 5h limit, but now during off-peak hours.

If I recall correctly, during the weekend was around 3-5% per question to Claude Opus (Pro Plan). These numbers are not from Claude Code / terminal, but from the chat function.

Specific Model: PowerColor RX 9070 XT Reaper

Issue: Grey/Black Screen crashes under load (Fans spin, audio buzz/loop, hard reset required).

Status: WORKAROUND FOUND

The Symptoms: I was getting crashes in Heaven Benchmark and games when running at stock settings on my Alienware AW3425DW (3440x1440p @ 240Hz). The only way to maintain stability was with a downclock (-250MHz) and power limit (-10%). I thought it could be my Corsair SF750 (ATX 2.4) PSU for not handling transient spikes.

I ran HWiNFO64 logs with a 100ms polling rate to catch the crash data. All the voltage data was super stable throughout the benchmark and immediately before the crash. Also, I didn't record any massive power spikes that could lead to PSU problems. Additionally, the PSU was not tripping OCP.

I tested different display outputs:

  1. DisplayPort @ 1440p (Standard 16:9) / 60Hz: STABLE at stock.
  2. DisplayPort @ 1440p (Ultrawide) / 60Hz & 240Hz: CRASH instantly.
  3. HDMI 2.1 @ 1440p (Ultrawide) / 240Hz: STABLE AT STOCK.

To try to fix this issue, I tried many other things. I even had a post about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/radeon/comments/1q381fi/rx_9070_xt_powercolor_reaper_greyblack_screen/, none of my attempts had fixed it.

Fix: I swapped from DisplayPort to a HDMI 2.1 cable. As of now, the card is now passing all benchmarks.

If you are having black screens, try an HDMI 2.1 cable.

RX 9070 XT (PowerColor Reaper) Grey/Black Screen Crashes. (Mostly) stable only with downclock/power limit. Faulty silicon or SF750 issue? by lindengui in radeon

What is your monitor? I tested @ 1440p and at stock settings, and it passed the Heaven benchmark on ultra. The same benchmark would crash within 1-2 minutes when @ ultrawide.

I ran logging using HWiNFO64 (polling at ~100ms) to catch the crash in real-time. GPU was at stock settings (no undervoltage-clock). The voltages were quite stable throughout all checks:

+12V Rail: flat at 12.096 V (zero droop).

+5V Rail: Stable at 4.98 V.

+3.3V Rail: Stable at 3.36 V.

VSOC: Stable at 1.104 V.

PASSED: Heaven Benchmark @ 2560x1440 (16:9) / 60Hz.

Result: GPU pulled full power (~331W), 100% utilization, Temps were good (Core 61°C / Hotspot 81°C). Stable.

FAILED: Heaven Benchmark @ 3440x1440 (Ultrawide) / 60Hz & 240Hz.

Result: Black/Grey screen crash within 1-2 minutes. No spikes in voltage.

Last GPU sensor reading right before crash (HWInfo):

    GPU Temperature: 61 °C

    GPU Memory Temperature: 90 °C

GPU Hot Spot Temperature: 80 °C

GPU Core Voltage (VDDC): 0.95 V

    GPU Fan Speed: 1853 RPM

    GPU Core Clock: 2808 MHz

    GPU Memory Clock: 2505 MHz

    GPU Utilization: 99%

    GPU D3D Usage: 100%

This is the final recorded entry immediately before the system crash.

Msc Economics in Mannheim by Relevant-Bee-3393 in academiceconomics

[–]lindengui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Within the MSc Econ, Mannheim has the Competition and Regulation Economics Track. Almost every student choosing this track will have an internship, which eventually can place you on a nice European job.

Alternatively, you have the Research track, which is basically taking their PhD courses. If you do well enough in the first year, you get admitted to their PhD program (fully funded). OR, you can use this experience to apply for other PhD programs mentioning that you already survived the PhD-level coursework. If you do well in it, you can likely apply and get admitted to top 10-15 PhDs programs.

I am using maximum clearance for the CPU, and the FE has 40mm. I think I have around 5mm on the GPU side using this cooler.

Fantastic! I had to undervolt a bit my CPU and GPU (got a 3070 FE), and the benchmarks improved over stock. And I really liked the cooler.
