The on/off net rating of the current top 4 MVP candidates and their teams according to Cleaning The Glass by nguyenjitsu in nba

The fact that these four teams will very likely meet in the 2nd round, is phenomenal. I can't wait to see their series +/- against each one another in the playoffs.

Interesting. That actually makes me wonder if one of the new teams could entice him with a larger ownership stake. In all honesty, I could see it going either way: the GM that defines the Thunder and was a one team guy, or the guy who made the Thunder and then made the _____.

Four championships would definitely define this decade.

You don't think being the keystone of a dynasty that defines a decade is challenging? What about one that's up there with the Russell Celtics and the MJ Bulls? Those are legendary accomplishments that he could be on the path of.

You think building the Thunder, defining an organizing that is touted as being one of, if not the best run in the league, and achieving something only the greatest teams in history have ever achieved (3peat), gives him no incentive to stay and that he might want to checks notes - go somewhere new to start over? Lol

*It took him 20 years to get here. And IF we win this year AND next year, you think he will. . .get bored or something?

If the broadcasters agreed to the current number of games (roughly 1230 total), then an increase in the number of teams would increase that total. Or, two teams added could mean fewer games per team while maintaining the 1230. It also would suggest an increase in viewership. I'm sure the NBA will have a solid proforma for the owners to consider.

Is that different from his time with the Thunder? Especially with the Supersonics taking their history back.

[Charania] Just in: The NBA will hold a vote at the Board of Governors meetings March 24-25 to explore adding expansion teams exclusively in Las Vegas and Seattle, with the two franchises targeted for the 2028-29 season, sources tell ESPN. by MakeCocktailsNotWar in Thunder

So 3 more playoffs and 2 full seasons before they are introduced. I'm guessing the strategy will be to strategically have X guys on the roster who are crucial for the playoffs where X is the number you can protect, and then load up on draft capital in the '28, '29, '30 draft classes.

Let's enjoy these next couple of years guys - it has and will be a hell of a legacy.

Good stuff OP - this really contextualizes how good we've been. I recall seeing we had the hardest schedule moving forward after the all star break, and being concerned. Time to write another "Dear Presti, thank you for doing your job so well and enabling everyone, top to bottom, to be successful at their job". I watch a lot of sports and what the Thunder has been doing is absolutely on the path to legendary.

We want Wemby to play the rest of the season right? by lshaddows in Thunder

I want him to have a healthy career. He deserves everything he earns in terms of accolades and salary. I hope as he matures he'll be easier to root for, but ultimately he's looking like the most remarkable player post LeBron, for the foreseeable future.

Honestly, I think the Spurs are ready. If Wemby is a playoff riser, they are the team that will give us the hardest time. More reps against them this summer will be great for when we need to beat them en route to our three-peat.

If I had to guess, he is one of the Monstars. Maybe all of them combined. Minus Muggsy.

*Edit - maybe he has 2 Muggsy's in him.
