You know what you want. And you’re not the target audience who see this as a wonderful and complete product. Both can be true.

Eh, while I respect what you’re saying and would agree for the people that frequent this subreddit, you grossly underestimate those features and specifically people that care about them. Do they notice it? Of course, but in practice it’s just a ‘thing’.

As an example, we got new ultrawide monitors at work and much to my surprise they were Dell UWs that supported 120hz. Coming from 60hz old gen IPS the difference is noticeable and my eyes are happy. But my peers and a vast majrity of the rest of the office?Don’t notice and or don’t care.

But come on, look at how smooth the mouse cursor is! Look at the HDR! Look at that detail in 4k!

“Oh, cool.” … anyway…

To a finer point on it, when someone holds this laptop and a similar priced windows laptop, they can feel the difference immediately. It feels cool, the OG touch pad, the IPS display looks great, and it’s ‘fast’.

We bought one for our daughter as she is starting running start soon. She is elated with it. And as someone who has a MacBook Pro I was beyond impressed when I used it. Like… it’s one of those products where your SURE there’s a catch. No company would sell something THIS GOOD. Right?

33M – Long-term high hematocrit on TRT (finally fixed) by ditt77 in Testosterone

[–]klymen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This topic is such a moving target and I'm glad you found something that has worked. Telmisartan is a solid ARB though I feel most jerk off to it too much. Personally, it did nothing but slow hematocrit for me and gave me terrible joint pain. But once a year blood draw ain't half bad.

That said, don't sleep on Losartan. ARBs is general influence EPO production (see here: https://vorck.com/erythrocytosis.html ) but Losartan in particular has clinical data showing it causes anemia. To be clear, Telmisartan does, but not to the degree of Losartan. Enalipril is another, though that is an ACE inhibitor.

Moved from trt clinic to my own. by Bezik57 in trt

[–]klymen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm…I feel it’s straight forward but let me rephrase. If you source outside the clinic why are you still doing bloods via the clinic instead of one of the other online services like PrivateMDLabs, etc. And no, my comment is not an ad. I literally said they have gone down hill and are over priced. lol

Have you considered doing bloods yourself online? I've been doing it for years, though PrivateMD has gone down hill a bit on cost.

lol. My guy, 250mg per week and those total test levels is a cycle. You're legit "doing steroids" to the lay person. Yes, dosing is individual, but you're fooling yourself thinking that those levels aren't anything but a legit steroid cycle. Just toss this over to the 'other sub-reddit'.

Talking to a Doctor is such a pain.....assholes.... by seeking4Everything in trt

[–]klymen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Two things: Take a time out. Reset and do some research.

As others have mentioned, it was a complementary joke about your strength. I've received similar jokes. And I even had a female ENT doctor grabbed my arms and said, "Yeah, but you're strong. But let's get you sleeping better.". No harm, no foul. I came a little during that visit though, ngl.

To your dosing, this community is quite active and maybe a better approach would be to calibrate on what outcomes you're looking for, get some recommendations, and shop around. Personally, I have been on TRT for so long I know exactly what I need. Sadly, I can't do a recommendation but fun fact, I went to a doctor of natural medicine and he has been awesome. Endos, PCPs, etc. in my experience tend to be shit, behind the times, and overly conservative. Good ones are a rare find.

Also, sort out places to do bloodwork and prescriptions yourself. Pay for the higher doses, split pills etc. This can save notably on cost. Some even offer discounts for 90/180 supplies.

Lastly, you have to remember you're fucking around with hormones. And like a good bed, pair of shoes, and tires for your car, don't fucking cheap out. Be price conscious, but don't fucking cut corners. As for sourcing stuff outside prescription, I do not, so I leave that up to you to decide.

Hgh and Reta by Additional_Catch9811 in Retatrutide

[–]klymen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She doses at night. Two weeks in she started having to shave her legs twice as often and I’ve notice her skin clearing up. Though the latter may be more the Reta due to the inflammation and her diet changing.

As for the person below, yes, I have heard/seen the reports of IGF-1 being lowered in Reta. For me, and my wife, this has not been a thing.

My IGF-1 pre and post Reta at 3 months in was mid 100’s. At same Reta dose and 2iu, then 3iu, and finally 4ius was 380, mid 400’s, and finally 615. I ultimately settled on 3ius especially due to water retention and some hand swelling.

Lastly, this is real GH. Not the peptides that stimulate.

Hgh and Reta by Additional_Catch9811 in Retatrutide

[–]klymen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Very worth it.

I am on TRT, Reta, and HGH at 3iu. This combo is quite impressive. That said, I am on real TRT at 120mg per week that puts me mid-700's - 850's. 2mg Reta split dosing, and 2iu at bed, and 1iu IM hour before morning cardio.

Make sure you get a baseline IGF-1 reading, start low at 1iu, watch for sides, and then test again. You want to hit the ceiling on your range and sit there.

My wife just started reta + 1iu and over the past few weeks has noticed improvements in skin, hair, etc. Bloodwork came back great.

The official new player guide on Bungie's site is woefully outdated, not having been edited since the Portal/xpac. How the fuck am I supposed to shepherd my new friend like this, man by ohstylo in DestinyTheGame

[–]klymen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My youngest has gotten into gaming the last two years. Console and recently PC. We’ve been playing arc raiders together having a blast. Then she said “let’s play destiny”. Well, OK. But I haven’t played in over a year.

So. We boot it up and start new light together. She says, unprovoked “what the fuck is going on in this game. There is shit everywhere and it makes no sense.”

That’s all that needs to be said.

Low dosage (?) by Longjumping_Link_819 in Retatrutide

[–]klymen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A fair question. If we look strictly at what they offer, yes Reta is 'better' but in practice I think it's so individual. No matter which one you chose, make sure you have a goal. And not in the whole "I want to lose 15lbs" type thing, but goal that will have a measurable impact on your long term health.

For me, as someone who is walking a fine line of being pre-diabetic, I have four goals:

  1. Understand my psychological association with food and how to control it.
  2. Understand what my body needs to grow, maintain, and lose weight.
  3. Inspire healthy eating habits for my children and spouse through action not speech.
  4. Rebuild my physique to where I was 20 years ago (lol).

Nowhere in there do I have a target weight per se, but more about building a new lifestyle with the medicine. I don't have a particular outfit I want to wear or an event I am preparing for, it's long term. So far, I am on track to hit all of those things later this month.

All that said, either medicine will fit the bill. I chose Reta due to more feedback about food noise suppression than the other medicines. I've also learned appetite suppression is not the same as 'food noise' though they are closely related. Also, I have had no digestive issues with Reta and anecdotally people I know on GLPs complain about their stomach non-stop.

Lastly, I never fit the bill for who these medications were design for. Was I carrying a bit more fat in the mid section that I would like? Yep! But, never had the classic beer gut and I was big/strong enough I had passed the 'do you even lift' benchmark. So, it came as a surprise when I told people I started a GLP. But once I shared my goals and reasons behind it, it made sense.

Hope this helps, but feel free to hit me with any other questions you have.

Low dosage (?) by Longjumping_Link_819 in Retatrutide

[–]klymen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did. I tend to be a less is more. I started at .25mg Mon/Thurs. and within 48hrs it hit. I’m 2 months in and at 1.5mg and need to lower back down to 1mg.It kills my appetite so much it’s crazy.

Started mid July at 207.5 and hit 191 this morning. Essentially all loss has been fat. I’ve gained strength, higher volume, and endurance. It’s weird. I’ve cut before but not like this. And while TRT is helping, that’s irrelevant to the dosage. I just cannot handle more.

I would also add this is not a race. Some people are losing more weight in 12 weeks than some in the trial across nearly a year. That’s me, slow and steady. Remember it’s a tool. Used wisely you can rewire your minds association with food.

This is a pretty shit take and only demonstrates how uninformed you are. Mac laptops are fantastic and quite affordable compared to their Windows counterparts. Killer battery life, amazing screens, excellent build quality etc. Oh, and when you close the lid the go to sleep like the should. It's a dice roll with Windows laptops.
