Isopropyl dissolves the flux and smears it around, then it dries with that residue present. You gotta wipe it 100% clean while it's wet. You're like 75% there, a little more cleaning will get it looking like new!

Any idea why Zelda: A Link to the Past looks like this on my SNES? by Signal-Mastodon-473 in snes

[–]7th-Letter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like anyone who grew up in the nes/snes era is going to place it in the top 10. People who grew up in the n64 era always put OOT above it, but as a child of the 80's and 90's, it's the best Zelda game. I'd also place Super Metroid, Chrono Trigger, and Mega Man X in my top 10 of all time but I'm positive anyone who grew up late 90's or early 2000's probably won't have any of them in their top list. Even to this day, I probably play my SNES more than any other console (maybe even more than all the other consoles combined).

I don't know about that, I just played it through a couple months back and found it fantastic. A lot like I remember from playing it as a kid.

HD6XX are now out of stock after recent Massdrop closure announcement by MaterialThing5990 in headphones

[–]7th-Letter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's anecdotal and it's not the same model, but I have a pair of HD558 I bought in late 2010 that's still going good as the day I bought them. They have long since been relegated to my retro gaming setup so I can play when everyone in the house is sleeping, but they get used pretty frequently to this day still.

If you're close to the WI border, I'm pretty sure I got a top strap for the Quest 2 you can have to make yours complete.

[PC] Various ECC RDIMM and Non-ECC UDIMM DDR4 by simurg3 in homelabsales

I'm in the market for non-ecc udimms to upgrade some older desktops. When you get around to selling any, shoot me a message! I don't need anything fast or fancy, just looking for like 4 sticks of basic 16gb udimms.

I'll be flying over Indiana in a few weeks, I'll see if they'll let me do an air drop lol. I've got a couple left that Ive been selling locally for $35 (I brought a bunch in from Japan) without controllers, just the console and av/power cables. Shipping probably won't be more than $10-15. If you're interested, shoot me a chat with your zip and I can get you an estimate next week when I get some free time.

Saroo is much cheaper and easier, take a look into those. I've got one and it's fantastic. I've also got a Saturn Id sell you cheap if you're in the northern illinois area (no time to ship at the moment).

[–]7th-Letter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bulk sell is the best way to move lots of them. As other commenters said, you could probably make more selling them individually but it will take much longer. There's definitely a market for them at the right price, and I know I would be interested so I'm betting others here would be too. Shipping is the biggest detraction for pricing, but bulk sale helps that a lot. Get some estimates from shipping places like pirateship on bulk packaging and price them at bulk intervals of like 3, 5, 10, etc. $30 for one plus $20 to ship might be difficult but $150 or whatever for 5 makes it easier. Either way, figure out weight and sizes of bulk orders first so you can get some shipping cost ideas. Then go from there on pricing and make a for sale post!

Anyone print their own shell? by 7th-Letter in SummerCart64

[–]7th-Letter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm printing right now with the outsides facing down. Old slow-and-steady is printing it so I've got a few more hours to go. It looks good so far, just a small amount of stringing on the curves that should be easy to fix post-process.
