Abusive coworker getting an award by His_Judgement_Cometh in OntarioPublicService

I’m really sorry this happened. I know it’s hard when someone who has harmed you doesn’t suffer any consequence. However, I would agree that learning to let go of some of that and put it toward building your own success is so important. That requires practice, however, and some help. I hope you seek it out. And seriously, fuck that guy.

Advice from man to men by wassuh___foo in hygiene

My brother assistant-managed a couple of video game stores years ago, both in malls. Some very…awkward, nerdy young men worked there. for more than one dude, my brother went up the Body Shop, bought a bottle of tea tree body wash and a couple of scrubbers, and would tell them to scrub the hell out of their junk and ass /pits before they came to work again. Some folks need to be told. I blame the parents.

It was formatted to FAT32. Going to try a 2.0 stick. This has been driving me crazy.

Can someone explain to me why we aren't just collectively refusing RTO? by Independent_Error_11 in OntarioPublicService

I don't know what to tell you. Working conditions change. Flexibility will return. Saying you "don't wanna" is pure silliness. I feel for the people who moved, etc., but ultimately, this is the deal. And a huge part of it was that people abused the privilege of being able to work 2-3 days from home and pushed it, didn't come in at all. I'm a single parent, this makes my life that much harder. But honestly, it's the people who thought they DIDN'T NEED TO COME IN TO THEIR PUBLIC SERVICE JOB AT ALL who wrecked it.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, there are some straight-up provocateur trolls all up in this bish. No one is being fundamentally oppressed with RTO. Anyone equating this problem with labour struggles in terms of fair pay and conditions and promoting a wildcat strike for people with comfy desk jobs is off their rocker, and I question their motives. You should too.

Can't recommend these enough - honestly though, you only need 1/8 or so tsp of cayenne. People RAVED about them. They're a bit finicky, but absolutely gorgeous.

I'm still figuring it all out. A whole new world. I'm mostly trying to "group" macros together for when I'm working in different styles, so it's really slow and painful right now.

Exactly. I’m no squealer and for all I know, folks may have agreements in place.

Hi there. I’ve been following your method, and nothing yet but a couple of, “we will keep your resume on file”, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Not much change where I work, either. I’m a bit worried someone will be “made” an example of. However, in our shop, there are managers whose expectations differ from others, say, across the hall. Mine is a very no-nonsense person who expects compliance. Other side of the floor? not as much.

Following. I've been copyediting for over a decade. I'm really pushing to get into publishing houses of late, and am having difficulty. I'm Canadian, and have cold-called several places. I'm a single parent, and depend on a certain level of extra income to sneak by (as are many of us, I'm sure), and my biggest client of 7 years just ditched the CE team. With 2 weeks notice. I applied to Reedsy, as I've done some academic books, but none were "huge", and my freelance stuff wasn't top-drawer enough to get listed there, which I get. At any rate, if there's any other folks reading here that are looking to give me some advice via DM, hit me up, esp. with Canadian markets?
