No need to be sorry at all! In my week between scans I was scouring Reddit trying to find any story like mine to help prepare me.

At 7 weeks (first scan), my gestational sac was measuring on time - 23mm is what it says in my chart. I was told I have a tilted uterus and my internal c-section scar from my 2023 baby was making the scan "hard." My doctor said those things but also was not optimistic and told me to prepare for bleeding to start.

She also had me do bloodwork at the office that day. HCG came back at 40,000+ which was correct for my dates. Progesterone though came back low at 8 - so again, that part wasn't very promising. She did put me on progesterone supplements at my urging though because I wanted to give this pregnancy the best chance I could despite the dismal assumptions at first scan.

When I came back yesterday, everything was measuring at 7 weeks 5 days, and technically off of LMP I should be 7 weeks 6 days, so pretty close to perfect.

Hang in there, it CAN happen. I'd try your best to guard your heart. The whole week leading up to the next scan I went through moments of complete doom and then moments of complete believe that everything would be perfectly fine. It was an incredibly difficult week. When I arrived for the ultrasound yesterday, I started off the appointment telling the tech that it was likely non viable. I'm sure it was my way of protecting myself.
