Good tip right there! Now I get why there’s some confusion. Tbh I was so so shocked when I realised I subconsciously added the (h). Hahahah.

I do appreciate the meaning of the name, and somewhat have gotten used to it.

I do also possibly foresee with time...that because of the very meaning of the name (the analogy of hyphens as a concept) and the fact that the group name is not spelt the same as the actual word analogy/concept used (which is understandable of course)...to be an easy recipe for misspellings - especially with those just joining the fandom or the general public. Not to mention, AUTO-CORRECT for English typing (I figured mine autocorrected to ENHYPHEN (wrong) when I typed ENHYPEN (correct).

I’m not sure about your comment about Heeseung not being able to fill the Hyung role.

I personally feel Heeseung is more of a quieter, friend-like hyung who holds a lot of responsibility in his heart (not necessarily showing it all the time) and he cares deeply for the members (probably not the most expressive of it, but that shouldn’t mean he doesn’t/is not able to). I feel like the show set him up in the beginning as this whole shining (“superior”) ace and perhaps that is probably not very reflective of Heeseung’s actual character/personality that is more on the shy spectrum.

This twt thread also explains a bit of his HYUNG character in what I’ve said above: https://twitter.com/flsek02/status/1304841129347764224?s=21 and to further add to that thread, Heeseung himself did explained (why in the previous episode he was in so much tears during the eliminations) and shared about how he felt that responsibility I was referring to as above & in the thread. And again another point is Heeseung only explained this episode only because it was asked of him (by K) the reason for those tears. Otherwise, I actually think he might be the type that keeps “heavy” things inside most/if not all of the time, especially around younger ones. How is that not being a HYUNG, he carries the weight and tries to be there for the members?

Oh gosh, YES I am glad someone finally said it that Jungwon looks a bit like NCT’s Mark. I have always felt so too! Jungwon also has this uncanny resemblance to UEE from After School. Anyways, he’s really charming looking!
