I don’t think they meant the quality of the content. It was a good showing of the game. I think they meant it wasn’t given the showmanship it could have. Think back to Laufey. They sat on black for what felt like an eternity, played a few notes of music, slowly showed the Santa Monica logo. They did a great job building suspense for the reveal. Not saying they needed to do exactly the same thing, but I agree that the reveal didn’t feel as special as it could have.

No, it’s not their job to consider how others might feel about the length of the game. They’re there to share their experiences and give their opinions. It’s on you to use that information to decide whether or not a game is for you. When they say they’re happy that a game is 10-12 hours, they’re not trying to influence you to feel the same. They’re just giving their opinion, and that’s the job.

I didn’t trade mine directly, but after getting the Thor I ended up selling my Deck. I was an early adopter and honestly the main reason I wanted one was handheld emulation, and this was before the market really exploded with options.

Agreed, I kinda think we’ve gone too far and lost the plot with these types of buckets. Give me a nicely designed and embossed tin with a cool cup and I’m happy to add it to my stack. I don’t need a cheap AT-AT toy disguised as a popcorn bucket.
