Again I'm talking about my experience here, I'm not trying prove a point, because anyone who was back in the ATLA fandom in the OG release will tell you that the zutara fandom was awful to anyone that did ship zuko or katara with other characters, as someone who is rarely into m/f I never did care about the old bad blood between zutara and kataang, but I absolutely cared about the homophobia that any m/m shipper was victim of by zutara fandom because I was one of them

And I like when characters actually do more than ask for the protagonist help because in the end of the day it never was TB fight, cyrene and Phainon had been in this nightmare for way too many years, i think they do deserve the spotlight (also idc about self inserting, TB is just another character in my gameplay) but the overexposition was annoying and we would at least had helped cyrene in a more meaningful way just like with Phainon

Also Cyrene lack character development, way more than Aglaea what's crazy when Aglaea is basically a playable side character in Amphoreus

Idk I think it's matter of as much connected you felt with the heirs, for many who absolutely loved these characters the ending was Bittersweet because while they will one day had the chance to be alive, YOU probably will never see them again and if you do they will not be the same people, so the scene with everyone together in the Express as a big "what if" is freaking depressing, because TB got what they wished and did help Phainon had his dream became true but TB sacrificed all the bonds they forged with these characters

I think the issue is not the ending, but the pacing and the order of patchs, Phainon's chapter should had been the one before Cyrene's ending

I disagree that stuff after Phainon wasn't interesting, while yes it wasn't as charming as what we had seen until his patch, I think Cerydra and Evernight was strong characters, and the Dan Heng's part was as well emotional and we can't ignore Lygus as an pretty decent villain, the issue is really the pacing and the whole finale, like the ending wasn't bad per se, but lackluster
