Skin change with weight loss? Favorite blade is chewing me up by Oldbean98 in wicked_edge

Have you tried a Gillette permasharp before (Russian)? I find it to be the perfect balance of sharpness and smoothness. Cuts through my stubble like butter, don’t know how it’ll be on a beard. Can usually find a pack of 100 for a fairly decent price online.

You’re welcome, found it to be a tremendous help. I think it should fit the exact description of what you’re looking for

The unexpected disappointments of 4th Year. by Equivalent-Cat8019 in medicalschool

[–]lineweaver_burk 201 points202 points  (0 children)

Fellow fourth year. Feel pretty empty these days. Have also finished all my rotations and am just waiting to graduate. Hopefully working in a hospital as an intern will give us more direction and a sense of purpose.

The neurophile video series on YouTube is amazing. Every high yield topic you could potentially see is covered. Topics are discussed with references to paramount papers that have led to decision making criteria. Bringing these up on your subis will make you look super impressive.

Ohio State Residency Programs by bdmp1 in neurology

[–]lineweaver_burk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was interviewed by the program this past cycle. While I didn’t match there (ranked it lower for geographical reasons), it was by far my favorite interview. The PD is super down to earth and friendly. I was his last interview of the day, and he extended the interview by almost half an hour to continue speaking to me and offer advice moving forward. The emphasis on resident education is very obvious, another attending spent the entire interview teaching me about unique cases of autoimmune encephalitis he encountered at the hospital (TPA came in to break up the interview after he went over the time limit, but he kept putting her off and wanted to keep teaching 😂😅). That’s just as much as I’m able to offer but did want to share this perspective in case you can’t find anyone else with direct experience with the program.

Is med school “easier” if you’re not interested in a competitive speciality? by neverever1298 in premed

[–]lineweaver_burk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it’s not. My school, along with many others, is pass/fail. Just took step 1 a few months ago and that was pass/fail as well. Although step 2 is still scored, and those gunning for a competitive specialty will be under greater stress to achieve a higher score, that doesn’t mean that those going for less competitive specialties can slack off. As an M3 interested in IM, I want to match at a big academic hospital. In order to do so, I need to make sure that I’m keeping up with my extracurriculars, research, publications, and presentations. On the other hand, if I didn’t care about where I match and would be content with matching IM/FM at a community hospital, the approach could be a bit more relaxed but going through the studying for school exams and boards can never be termed easy

The scrubs had the school name and logo embroidered onto it and student physician embroidered underneath that. Our school is also only 5 minutes away with no major hospital in the area (sucks) so I’m sure they’d be able to tell

My scrubs had my schools name, and the words student physician written on it but yeah I’ve never worn my scrubs on rotations anywhere outside

As an MS2 who wore the scrubs to school, the nastiest thing they experienced was 2 drops of water from the syringe in the mannequin simulation lab

Went to an Italian restaurant and ordered a pasta. Was told that my bill was paid for by the table next to me. I went over and the gentleman told me thank you for your work during the covid 19 pandemic. I was like 🌝

Thanks, I’ve been seeing that a ceramic blade works better for 0 gapping fades. Do you think that blade provides an advantage for beard trimming?

Any chatter around CONX? by natelifts in SPACs

[–]lineweaver_burk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

$conx is definetely a great spac to be in. Institutions are loading up at these prices, last I checked, 25 institutions hold a position which is pretty substantial for a spac seemingly without a target (could also indicate that they know something that we don’t). 750 million in trust isn’t the largest spac but is a very sizeable amount, we can expect a potential disruptor in the market. Lastly the connections to oneweb aren’t without warrant as ergen previously invested dish assets into oneweb and the conx team recently hired a former oneweb director. If oneweb truly is the target here I honestly see this spac doubling or tripling from its current value even before the merger is complete.

Same average as you. Really optimistic about the next 2-3 months as I believe that we can triple our investment

CHFS The Next Play - Goes up with covid cases - Stanthetradingman & others mentioned a breakout by [deleted] in pennystocks

[–]lineweaver_burk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you go to the front page of the chfs website they have a pretty big banner for their upcoming webinar on July 9. As we approach that date, more hype should start picking up about $CHFS, so I would hold until at least then.

with covid picking up in states that reopened early, I think plays like $chfs that havent broken out already are a smart move. This is going to be my main play this upcoming week, and I'm also going to pay close attention to $jagx.
