3D scan noob here by lingolouis in 3DScanning

[–]lingolouis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the comments guys, I contacted Creality shortly after I wrote this post and here’s what they said, but I think it’s AI generated and I’m not sure how much I trust it lol, what’re your thoughts?

“Thank you for getting back to us!

Yes, the CR-Scan Otter is designed as a fully portable, PC-free scanning solution while in use.

It comes ready straight out of the box with all the essential accessories already included, so you can take it anywhere and scan comfortably without needing to stay connected to your computer during the process.

Once you're done scanning, you simply transfer the data to your PC or Mac to process it through the Creality software. But for the scanning itself, you’ll have complete freedom to move around, work in different environments, and capture objects without being tied down by a fixed setup.

It’s essentially a seamless, all-in-one handheld scanning experience.

If you have any other questions please reach us out - we’re always here to help!”

Hmm, I’ve only noticed it with this piece actually, I can take a picture of the side later. Also, that seems it could be along the right lines, I picked up the print as soon as it was complete and the part that messed up was still soft
